Free Price Text in GT Extensions for FluentCart

Updated October 17, 2026

Free Price Text replaces a zero-price display with a label such as FREE or Complimentary. It changes how the price reads; it does not turn a paid product into a free product.

Use it for a sample, starter template or other product whose actual FluentCart price is zero. The label should describe the offer accurately, especially if another item or delivery charge still costs money.

Configure the Label

Enable Free Price Text under FluentCart → GT Extensions, open Configure, enter your preferred label and save. The module also integrates with FluentCart → Settings → Store Setup → Free Price Display.

  • Free Price Text controls the replacement wording.
  • The enable option controls whether the replacement is used.
  • The underlying product and cart amounts remain numeric values in FluentCart.

Example: A Free Starter Template

Set the starter template’s price to zero and the display label to FREE. Keep the paid template’s normal price. Check the product page, the selected variation, the cart and a zero-total checkout so the wording makes sense in each location.

The Custom Add to Cart Text module can use Get it Free for the button. Configure the button and price labels independently; changing a label does not deliver a file before checkout is complete.

Check the Result

The module handles server-rendered prices and supported dynamic price elements. Its frontend assets load on detected commerce pages and embedded FluentCart controls. A custom template that renders prices outside those surfaces may need the asset-loading filter documented in the hooks reference.

If a label is missing, confirm the amount is exactly zero, the module is enabled and the text setting is saved. If prices are restricted by Hide Price Until Login, check the page as an eligible customer as well as a guest.
