Pages you can edit

Nine native patterns cover a civic homepage, service directory, search hero, news, questions, contact information, and service pages.

A familiar place to customize

Set the palette, text size, reading width, navigation, news layout, site notice, and footer in the WordPress Customizer.

Readable by design

Atkinson Hyperlegible fonts, underlined links, visible keyboard focus, and a comfortable reading width give your content room to work.

Layouts for real information

Use standard pages, a full-width directory, news posts, archives, search results, and an optional sidebar.

A self-contained foundation

Fonts are hosted locally. The theme needs no third-party page builder and supports translation and right-to-left layouts.

A few useful answers.

What the theme includes, how to edit it, and how its free update key works.

What does hybrid mean here?

Civic Hearth uses classic PHP templates, menus, widgets, and the Customizer alongside the WordPress block editor, theme.json styling, and native patterns. It does not replace the Customizer with the full Site Editor.

Is the whole theme free?

Yes. Every theme feature is included in the free download. The license is GPL-2.0-or-later, and there is no recurring fee for the theme or its lifetime update key.

How do free updates work?

Complete the free checkout to receive a lifetime key for unlimited websites. Add it under Appearance > Civic Hearth License in your WordPress dashboard. WordPress can then check for theme updates. All theme features work without a key.

Does it need a page builder?

No. The included layouts use native WordPress blocks. You can edit page content in the block editor and use the Customizer for the overall site design.

Does it include forms or council transactions?

The theme includes working WordPress search and information layouts. Use an appropriate plugin or service for form delivery, payments, event management, or transactional public services.

What does update activation send?

Activating a key sends the key, theme version, and website address securely to gauravtiwari.org. Subsequent license checks use the saved activation. This connection is used for license verification and theme update delivery.
