Black Friday deals for designers arrive faster than anyone can use them. Stock libraries, AI video tools, font bundles and plugin packs all go on sale in November, and many end up as subscriptions you rarely open.

Buy the App Your Work Depends On First

Adobe is the one that costs real money. Its 2025 deal put Creative Cloud Pro at $34.97 a month through year one, and month 13 bills $69.99, or about $840 a year.

Here’s how I’d shop it. I’d buy the one app your work depends on at its lowest first-year price, then add a second tool only if you can name the project it’s for.

Below, 8 tools get the same treatment: the 2025 offer, the current price and the renewal. Most creative software sales open around mid-November, ahead of November 27.

Affinity changes the math for anyone who mostly does photo editing, vector work or layout. Before you pay for a suite, check whether a free app already covers your work.

Why Creative Software Prices Look Different in 2026

Creative tools changed a lot since last Black Friday. Six shifts matter when you compare this year’s offers:

Affinity went free. Canva relaunched Affinity at the end of October 2025 as one free app that combines vector, photo and layout tools on Mac and Windows. Its AI features need a Canva Pro plan.

Adobe is discounting ahead of Black Friday. Its US offer terms currently give new subscribers Creative Cloud Pro at $34.99 monthly for 3 months on a 12-month commitment. After that it’s $69.99 a month.

Adobe’s 2025 price rise still sets the bar. Creative Cloud All Apps became Creative Cloud Pro in 2025, and the monthly price on the annual plan went from $59.99 to $69.99.

Canva’s price keeps moving. A pricing tracker logged Canva Pro for one person at $180 a year in August 2026 and $144 after a September cut. Confirm the price on Canva’s checkout page, since older reviews quote other numbers.

CapCut got pricier. CapCut Pro rose to $19.99 a month or $179.99 a year, with older plans moving to the new price from February 20, 2026.

Framer reshuffled its plans. Its pricing page now lists Basic and Pro site plans, and the Scale plan from last year’s offer is gone.

What I Expect From Creative Software Sales

Black Friday terms for 2026 aren’t out yet for most of these tools. Based on their last two years, this is where I’d set expectations:

  • Likely: Adobe cutting Creative Cloud Pro for the first year again, since it ran half price last November and is already discounting 3 months now.
  • Likely: Envato taking 25% to 30% off the first year of annual plans, as it did in 2024 and 2025.
  • Likely: Filmora’s Cyber Week sale, with small cuts on yearly plans and bigger ones on add-ons.
  • Possible: Framer at half off the first year, with a code such as BLACKFRIDAY26.
  • Possible: Canva offering new customers a few cheaper months of Pro.
  • Unlikely: any discount that carries into the second year on these subscriptions.

The prices I’d hold out for:

  • Creative Cloud Pro: $34.97 a month or less, locked for the full first year.
  • Envato Elements: about $148 or under for year one, which is 25% off $198.
  • Framer: half off the first yearly payment.

Design and Photo Apps

Adobe Creative Cloud Pro

Expected

Creative Cloud Pro is still the standard for client work, because Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premiere files are what agencies and print shops expect. Buy it on sale only if you’ll keep it past year one.

Does Adobe have a Black Friday sale?

Yes. In 2025 Adobe cut Creative Cloud Pro to $34.97 a month for 12 months from November 13 to 28, with students and teachers at about 70% off. The discount ends after 12 months.

Is Canva Pro cheaper on Black Friday?

Sometimes, and only for new customers. Canva’s late-2025 offer took 50% off the first 3 months. If you already pay for Pro, the sale usually doesn’t touch your plan.

Is Affinity really free now?

Yes. Since late October 2025 Affinity has been one free app for Mac and Windows with photo, vector and layout tools. Only its AI features need a paid Canva Pro plan.

What's the best Black Friday deal for a freelance designer?

The tool you bill clients with. For most freelancers that’s Creative Cloud Pro, and last year’s half-price first year saved about $420 over 12 months.

Do Black Friday prices continue after the first year?

No. Adobe, Canva, Framer, Envato and Skillshare discount only the first year or first months, then renew at the regular price. Set a reminder a week before the renewal date.

Which Tool I'd Buy First

Torn between Adobe and the cheaper tools? I’d let your clients decide. When they send PSD, AI or INDD files, Creative Cloud Pro pays for itself; when they don’t, Affinity and Canva cover most of the work.

Everything else on this list can wait until a project asks for it.

So look at the file types your last three clients sent, and buy for those.
