I get why Black Friday lifetime deals pull you in. Yearly renewals pile up, and one payment promises to end them for good. The catch is that a lifetime license only saves money if you’re still using the tool after it pays for itself.
Last November, Blocksy’s Business lifetime license cost $210 against $99 a year for the yearly plan, so it paid for itself in year 3. The same license costs $299 in a normal week, which pushes that point to year 4.
My advice is simple. I’d only pay once for a tool I’ve already used for months. And I’d buy it in the sale, because the Black Friday price is what pulls the break-even a full year closer.
With Black Friday on November 27, this year’s list is also shorter than last year’s. FluentCart’s lifetime plans ended on October 30, and xCloud’s lifetime panel deal has closed. Below is what’s still sold for life, what it cost last Black Friday and when it pays off.
The last column compares the lifetime price with the yearly list price. Where a sale price changes the answer, it’s in brackets.

Most of the WordPress licenses here pay off in year 3 or 4. That’s why I’d only buy one for a tool I expect to keep for at least that long.

Divi Lifetime covers unlimited sites for one payment, and Black Friday is when Elegant Themes cuts it.
Blocksy has repeated the same 30% lifetime discount 2 years running, so it’s the easiest lifetime deal to plan around.
Bricks never discounts, so today’s lifetime price is also November’s.
Crocoblock Lifetime is the priciest license here, and its 40% sale is the only time I’d consider it.
Astra’s lifetime lineup changed in mid-2026, and only the add-on plan is lifetime in the plain sense.
WPManageNinja closed FluentCart’s lifetime plans on October 30, so Fluent Forms is the one still sold for life.
pCloud is the lifetime deal outside WordPress I’d watch most closely, because its November price drops well under its usual one.

It’s a one-time license sold at a discount during the Black Friday sales. You pay once and keep the product and its updates for as long as the vendor keeps selling it, with no yearly renewal.
They’re worth it when the license pays off within about 3 years at the sale price and you already use the tool. Divi Lifetime at $187 and Blocksy Business at $210 both met that test last year.
FluentCart stopped selling lifetime licenses on October 30, 2026. xCloud’s lifetime panel deal has already closed, and Kadence no longer sells a lifetime license to new buyers.
No. Bricks didn’t discount last year and has kept Ultimate Lifetime at $599 since January 2024. Its 60-day refund window is the safety net instead of a sale.
For Divi, Blocksy, Bricks and Crocoblock, yes: updates and support come with the license. Astra’s “+ AI” lifetime plans are different, because the AI platform and hosting stop after 3 years unless you renew.
If you’re worried a lifetime license will tie you to a tool you’ll outgrow, that’s a fair worry. I’d only buy one for a tool already running on my sites, never for one I’m still testing.
Everything here can wait for the November sales, since FluentCart’s lifetime option, the one deal with an earlier deadline, has already closed.
