Agent skills, often called Claude skills, are folders of instructions your AI tool loads when a job matches. This catalog holds every skill I’ve published: free repos on GitHub, free downloads and guides, and the AI Skills Library, where the maintained writing and visual skills live for $39 a year.
A skill teaches your AI tool one job, such as writing a tutorial or checking a draft for AI patterns. You install it once, and it stays out of the way until a request matches.
The file opens with a name and a short description. Your tool reads only those lines until a request fits the description.
Ask for a how-to guide and the how-to skill loads its full instructions. In Claude Code you can also call a skill by name, like /how-to-guide.
Longer notes and helper scripts sit beside SKILL.md, so the agent opens them only when the task needs them.

An AI skill, also called an agent skill or a Claude skill, is a folder with a SKILL.md file of instructions, plus optional reference files and scripts. Your AI tool reads the short description at the top of each skill and loads the full instructions only when a request matches that job.
No. The SKILL.md format started with Claude, and other tools now read the same folders. Codex and Cursor both load skills, and the AI Skills Library’s installer puts each skill where Claude Code, Codex or Cursor looks for it.
The GitHub repos and the free pack are free to use as they are. The free pack keeps its July 2026 skill set and only gets fixes. The AI Skills Library holds the maintained versions, plus skills that were never free, such as Voice DNA Creator and the writing format skills that read your own voice and profile.
New skills and new versions appear on your library page with a version number and date. Download the new zip and run the installer again. It backs up the old folder and keeps the profile files you already filled in.
Canceling stops the next renewal. Your library page stays open to the end of the year you paid for, and the versions you downloaded stay licensed to you.
The library skills are instant digital downloads, so the download terms in my refund policy apply: I refund duplicate charges, defective files and orders where the library never opened for you. Change-of-mind refunds aren’t available once you have access.
