Copyright, Disclaimer and Affiliate Disclosure

© Gaurav Tiwari, 2008-2026. This page was last updated on October 27, 2026.

This page explains who owns the content on gauravtiwari.org, how you can reuse it and how I earn money from the products I mention.

The short version is this:

  • Some links on this site pay me a commission when you buy.
  • I sell my own WordPress plugins, themes, books and templates.
  • A few companies pay for sponsored placements in articles.

Copyright

I own the copyright to the articles, graphics, code and videos I publish on gauravtiwari.org, unless a page says otherwise. You can still reuse a fair amount of it without asking:

  • Quotes: You can quote up to 150 words on the web without asking. Credit me and link to the page you quoted.
  • Teaching: You can use a full article in a class, a course or study material for free. Credit me and name the page you took it from.
  • Images and videos: My own images and videos are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. You can reuse them with credit.
  • Code snippets: You can use the code from my articles on your own sites and your clients’ sites.
  • Videos and translations: Turning my articles into YouTube videos or other paid content needs a license. Translating an article into another language is free, but ask me first.

To buy a license or ask for permission, email gaurav@gauravtiwari.org.

Plugins, themes, books and templates from my store come with their own license, and that license decides what you can do with them.

Product names, logos and brand names belong to their owners. Mentioning a brand doesn’t mean it endorses me or this site.

If you think I’ve used your work without permission, email legal@gauravtiwari.org with the page URL and a link to your original. I’ll check it and take down anything I don’t have the right to use within a day.

Affiliate Links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the seller pays me a commission. An affiliate link never adds to the price you pay, and some of them get you a discount.

I earn commissions through these programs and networks:

  • Amazon Associates, on Amazon.com and Amazon.in
  • Awin
  • Impact
  • PartnerStack
  • CJ
  • Rakuten Advertising
  • Tradedoubler
  • Envato
  • direct affiliate programs run by individual companies

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. gauravtiwari.org is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and the Amazon.in Associates Program, affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and Amazon.in.

Affiliate links on this site run through GT Link Manager, a WordPress plugin I built to manage them. That’s why many of them start with gauravtiwari.org/go/. I explain how these programs work in affiliate marketing for beginners.

Many links earn me nothing. I link to a page when it’s the best source for what you need, whether or not it pays.

Deals and coupon codes are set by the seller and can change or expire without notice. The price on the seller’s checkout page is the one that counts.

Some companies pay to have their product placed in an article, and some send the description they want used. A sponsor can pay for where its product appears on a page. I still check sponsor copy and cut the claims I can’t back up.

My Own Products

I sell WordPress plugins, themes, books, Notion templates and other digital products in my store. When I recommend one of them, keep in mind that I made it and I earn from every sale.

How I Disclose Relationships

A commission, a sponsorship, a free license or my own ownership of a product all count as a connection you should know about. This is how I handle them:

  • Articles with affiliate links carry a short affiliate disclosure.
  • I name my own products as mine when I recommend them.
  • I don’t buy, sell or write fake reviews, and I don’t pay anyone to leave a review.

No Professional Advice

Articles, calculators, study notes and free tools on this site are for general information. They aren’t financial, tax, legal, investment or medical advice for your situation.

Calculator results are estimates based on the numbers you enter. For a decision about money, taxes or the law, it is wise to check with a qualified professional who knows your situation.

Software, prices and laws change often. I update articles when I find a change, but a page can still go out of date. You should check the seller’s site or the official source before you act on a price, a feature or a rule.

To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss that comes from acting on information, code or tools from this site.

Downloads and Code

Free downloads, code snippets and free tools come as is, with no warranty of any kind. I don’t guarantee that they’re error-free, safe or right for your setup.

Any code should be tested on a staging site, with a fresh backup, before it goes on a live site. One missing semicolon in functions.php can take a whole site down.

I link to other sites when they help you. I don’t control those sites, and I’m not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Once you leave gauravtiwari.org, their own terms and privacy policies apply.

Applicable Laws

I run gauravtiwari.org from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, India. The laws of India govern this site and its content, and the courts in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute about it.

These Indian laws matter most for what’s on this page:

  • Copyright Act, 1957: protects my articles, graphics, code and videos, and sets the limits on reusing them.
  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019: together with the Central Consumer Protection Authority’s Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements and Endorsements for Misleading Advertisements, 2022, it covers ads, endorsements and affiliate disclosures.
  • Information Technology Act, 2000: covers online content and electronic records.
  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023: along with the DPDP Rules, 2025, it covers personal data. My privacy policy explains how I handle yours.

Many readers come from outside India, so I also follow the main rules on endorsements and reviews in the US and the UK:

  • United States: the FTC’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) and its rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), which bans fake reviews.
  • United Kingdom: the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, which bans fake reviews, and the CAP Code, which requires ads to be clearly labeled.

I don’t claim that everything on this site is suitable or legal in every country. If you read it from outside India, you’re responsible for following your local laws.
