WordPress Lifetime Deals

Pay once, use forever. That’s the promise, and after 18 years of building WordPress sites and burning money on subscriptions, I can tell you it’s true just often enough to be worth chasing and false just often enough to need rules. This page is both: every WordPress lifetime deal I’d actually buy, and the rules that keep you from buying the wrong one.

  • 47 deals listed

Read this before you buy any lifetime deal

Lifetime deals have a dirty secret: “lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not yours. I’ve bought dozens of these over 18 years, kept the winners, and eaten the losses on the rest. The losses follow three patterns, and once you can name them, they’re easy to spot before checkout.

The slow strip-mine

You buy “everything,” then core features quietly move into new paid add-ons. BuddyBoss lifetime holders watched gamification, a basic community feature, become a $199/year extra. Your license still works. It just covers less every year.

The version reset

The vendor ships a major version, declares it a “new product,” and your lifetime license politely applies to the old one, which stops getting security patches. Slider Revolution v6 holders learned this when v7 arrived subscription-only.

The quiet sunset

The product gets discontinued or acquired, and your lifetime license dies with it. No refund, no migration path. If the vendor’s whole business is one plugin sold below cost, you’re gambling on their runway.

My 36-month rule

Treat every lifetime deal as a 3-year deal. If the one-time price is less than three years of the subscription, and you’d genuinely use the tool for three years, buy it. Everything after year three is bonus. Everything promised beyond that is marketing.

And it cuts both ways: vendors who honor the spirit deserve credit. Elegant Themes grandfathered lifetime members through every Divi release for a decade. That’s the standard I hold this list to.

How deals earn a spot on this page

Nobody pays to be listed here. Most links are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you buy, but every tool passed the same five checks before it appeared:

  1. The vendor survives without the LTD. Lifetime deals should be a marketing channel, not the business model. If the LTD is the only revenue, you’re funding a countdown.
  2. The changelog is alive. I check release cadence for the last 12 months. Quiet changelogs precede quiet sunsets.
  3. The license terms say what “lifetime” covers. Sites, updates, support, and future features, in writing. Vague terms fail the check.
  4. No version-reset history. Vendors who stranded past lifetime holders don’t get listed, whatever the current discount.
  5. I’d run it on a client site. The final filter. If I wouldn’t take the support call, it’s not here.

Deals rotate out when they expire or when a vendor breaks the rules above. If you bought something from this page and got burned, tell me and I’ll re-review the listing.

WordPress lifetime deal FAQs

Are WordPress lifetime deals actually worth it?

Yes, when the math clears the 36-month rule: the one-time price is under three years of the subscription and you’ll genuinely use the tool that long. Themes, form plugins, and admin utilities age well. Anything dependent on external APIs or heavy ongoing service tends to age badly.

What does “lifetime” legally mean in these deals?

Almost always the lifetime of the product, not the buyer. If the product is discontinued, merged, or rewritten as a “new” product, the license can end with it. That’s why the vendor’s business health matters more than the discount percentage.

Where do WordPress lifetime deals usually appear?

AppSumo runs the biggest marketplace, and vendors like Brainstorm Force, WPManageNinja, and Bit Apps sell lifetime tiers directly. Black Friday is the peak season; several vendors only open lifetime tiers once or twice a year.

Is an unlimited-sites lifetime license real?

Some are genuine (my own Core Forms lifetime covers unlimited sites), but read the activation terms: many “unlimited” licenses cap activations or exclude client billing. The license page, not the sales page, is the truth.

What happens when a lifetime deal goes wrong?

Realistically, little. Refund windows are 14 to 60 days; problems surface in year two. Your protections are the vetting you do upfront and buying through marketplaces like AppSumo that enforce refund policies. That’s also why this page exists.

Want deals beyond WordPress?

This page covers WordPress only. The full database, including SaaS, AI tools, and design software, lives on the lifetime deals archive, and the seasonal pages track Black Friday and holiday windows.
