Stock Urgency Labels in GT Extensions for FluentCart

Updated October 17, 2026

Stock Urgency Labels explains low availability using the inventory recorded in FluentCart. You set the thresholds and wording so the message fits the way your store restocks.

A stock label is not an inventory reservation. A customer still needs to complete the normal purchase process, and FluentCart remains responsible for stock validation.

Configure Thresholds and Text

Enable the module, open Configure and review the settings.

  • Low Stock Threshold: the quantity at or below which the low-stock message appears.
  • Very Low Threshold: the lower, more urgent threshold.
  • Low Stock Text and Very Low Text: use {count} for the remaining quantity.
  • In Stock Text and Show in-stock badge: optionally show a healthy-stock message.
  • Show on archive cards and Show on single product page: choose the display locations.

The default low and very-low thresholds are 5 and 2. Keep the very-low threshold below the low threshold so the messages have distinct meanings.

Example: A Small Production Run

For a product with stock tracking enabled, use Only {count} left! below 6 units and a more direct message at 2 units. Confirm the message at healthy stock, low stock and zero stock, and switch between product options to check the selected variation.

Products without stock management are not a good source for a remaining-stock message. A service normally has inventory tracking disabled, so use Service Products for fulfillment instructions rather than inventing a scarcity count.

Pair It With Availability Alerts

For a sold-out product, Back-in-Stock Alerts gives the customer something useful to do next. Keep urgency text short and based on the actual stock figure. The critical-stock style supports reduced-motion preferences.
