Consulting Options

Most clients don’t need to choose between 62 services. They need an experienced consultant to identify the real constraint, set priorities, and stay accountable while the recommendation is put into practice.

The decision is unclear

Advisory & diagnosis

Something is wrong, but another rushed fix could waste more time. I inspect the system, separate symptoms from causes, and give you a prioritized recommendation.

Fractional consulting

How Consulting Works

I lead diagnosis, architecture, and review from the first call to handover. When a project needs more production capacity, Gatilab handles the named parts under my direction, and the proposal tells you exactly who owns what.

  1. 1

    Consultation

Thirty minutes. You bring the decision, constraint, or problem. I test the assumptions, establish context, and tell you whether I can add value.

You leave with: a sharper problem and the right next step.

  2. 2

    Recommendation

I document the findings, options, tradeoffs, priorities, scope, ownership, and cost. You can use the recommendation with me or take it to your team.

You leave with: a decision document you can defend.

  3. 3

    Implementation

When I lead delivery, the work runs through milestones, written updates, and review checkpoints. Gatilab joins only for named production work.

You leave with: an implementation reviewed against the recommendation.

  4. 4

    Review and handover

For implementation work, you get documentation, a recorded walkthrough, and 30 days of post-launch fixes. Ongoing advisory is optional, never automatic.

You leave with: a system your own people can run.

Who Consulting Helps

Worth booking a consultation

  • The problem spans your website, SEO, content, conversion, or operations, and nobody owns the whole system.
  • You need an independent diagnosis before committing more budget.
  • Your team needs senior architecture, prioritization, or technical review.
  • You want one named person accountable for both the recommendation and the result.
  • You need a plan your internal team or current agency can actually execute.

Look elsewhere

  • Your budget is under $500. A good freelancer on a marketplace will serve you better than I will.
  • You want the cheapest quote. I’m rarely it, and I won’t compete on price.
  • You already know exactly what to do and only need a low-cost pair of hands.
  • You want guaranteed rankings by a fixed date. Nobody can promise that honestly.
  • You want advice without sharing access, evidence, or stakeholder context.

Common Questions

Not answered here? Ask me directly and you’ll hear back within 24 hours.

What does consulting actually cost?

Consulting engagements run from $500 for a focused diagnosis to $25,000+ for complex implementation. Ongoing advisory starts at $1,500 per month. You get scope, ownership, and pricing in writing before work begins.

How long will it take?

Focused reviews usually take two to ten days. Strategy and implementation engagements usually take three to six weeks. You get a realistic date before work starts and a written update at every agreed checkpoint.

Am I hiring a consultant, a developer, or an agency?

You hire me as the lead consultant. I own the diagnosis, direction, architecture, and review. When implementation needs more hands, Gatilab handles named production work under my direction. The proposal tells you who owns every part before you sign.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Most of my clients are. I work asynchronously across time zones with written updates and milestone checkpoints, so nothing waits on a shared working hour. Calls get scheduled in your morning or your evening, whichever you prefer.

What if I’m not happy with the work?

Payments are tied to milestones, so you’re never out a large sum on unfinished work. If a milestone doesn’t meet what we agreed in writing, it gets fixed before the next one starts and before it’s billed.

What happens after the recommendation?

You can take the recommendation to your team, retain me to lead the implementation, or use Gatilab for named production work under my direction. For implementation engagements, documentation and 30 days of post-launch fixes are included.

Hi, I’m Gaurav An Independent Consultant Who Works Close to the Code

Clients bring me problems that sit between disciplines: a fast site that is hard to publish, content that ranks but doesn’t convert, or a growth plan the technical stack can’t support.

That join is where I do my best work. I can question the strategy, inspect the code, and stay accountable while the recommendation becomes a working system.
