How I optimize a site

I start with server response, because no plugin fixes a slow origin. Only after TTFB is honest do images, CSS, and JavaScript get touched, in that order.

I won’t install another optimization plugin on top of two fighting ones. Most of this work is removing and configuring, not adding.

Every test runs on a throttled phone connection, because that’s where your visitors actually are. Desktop on office Wi-Fi proves nothing.

  • Your site runs on WordPress or WooCommerce and slowness is costing sales or rankings.
  • Core Web Vitals keep failing and nothing you’ve tried has moved them.
  • You want causes fixed, not another optimization plugin installed.

I won’t promise a number before measuring, because the honest answer depends on where you start and what’s causing the slowness. The baseline on day one shows the gap, and the final report shows exactly how much of it closed.

Sometimes. If your server takes two seconds to respond, no amount of tuning on top fixes it. I test the origin first and tell you plainly if hosting is the bottleneck, before you spend on optimization that can’t win.

No, and be careful with anyone who does. Pages heavy with ads, embeds, or third-party scripts have a hard ceiling. What I commit to is measured improvement on the metrics Google uses, and telling you upfront where your ceiling sits.
