Multi-currency checkout without symbol-only pricing
GT Extensions for FluentCart adds exact local prices, automatic checkout currency, and currency-aware payment gateway routing to FluentCart. The selected currency stays authoritative across the cart, checkout, order, transaction, and subscription.
This matters because changing a currency symbol is not the same as converting a price. Version 2.1.6 binds every currency read and switch to the exact FluentCart cart, reprices stale amounts before checkout, and filters payment methods on the server.

What multi-currency support includes
Exact local prices when exchange rates are not enough
Save fixed prices for each product variation and currency. Exact price-book entries take priority, so you can use intentional regional pricing instead of exposing raw exchange-rate results.
- Store item, compare-at, and signup-fee amounts in integer minor units.
- Use manual rates or optional Frankfurter daily reference rates as a fallback.
- Apply markup and rounding rules to converted prices.
- Choose whether a missing local price should convert or block purchase.

Payment gateways matched to currency
Assign one or more payment gateways to every enabled currency and choose the preferred route. Checkout shows only eligible gateways, then validates the submitted payment method again before order processing.
- Map USD to PayPal, Stripe, or any other enabled FluentCart gateway.
- Map INR to Razorpay, another gateway, or several permitted choices.
- Set a preferred gateway without removing the customer’s other valid options.
- Reject stale or manipulated gateway submissions on the server.
Razorpay starts with a conservative INR-only recommendation. The routing matrix remains editable because gateway accounts and supported currencies differ between merchants.

Local currency with a safe fallback
Checkout can select an enabled local currency automatically. It checks the customer’s billing country, then shipping country, then Cloudflare visitor country data. If that currency is disabled or the cart cannot be priced in it, checkout falls back to the configured default currency.
- A customer’s manual currency choice wins over automatic detection.
- Country changes can refresh an automatic choice without overriding a manual one.
- The selector works with FluentCart checkout blocks and shortcode checkouts.
- The
[gtfc_currency_selector]shortcode can place the selector elsewhere on the storefront.

A real pricing and gateway example
On this store, GT Performance is configured at $199 in USD and ₹16,999 in INR. Choosing INR changes the numeric price and exposes Razorpay. Choosing USD restores the exact USD price and its permitted gateway. The amount, symbol, total, and payment route move together.
Seven focused modules, one settings page
The multi-currency module is the largest part of GT Extensions. Six smaller modules handle common storefront details. Enable only the parts your store needs.
- Multi-Currency Checkout: exact price books, conversion fallback, automatic local currency, and gateway routing.
- Free Price Text: replace a zero amount with text such as “FREE” or “No cost.”
- Sold Count Display: show counts from actual completed and processing orders.
- Stock Urgency Labels: show configurable low-stock and critical-stock messages.
- Min/Max Quantity: enforce quantity limits per product or variation with server-side validation.
- Hide Price Until Login: keep pricing private for logged-out visitors.
- Custom Add to Cart Text: use product-specific labels such as “Enroll now” or “Pre-order.”
How a checkout price is resolved
- Use the saved exact price for the variation and selected currency when available.
- Otherwise, convert the base price with the saved manual or last-known-good reference rate.
- Apply the configured markup and rounding rule.
- If the cart still cannot be priced safely, fall back to the default currency or block the unsupported purchase according to your settings.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work with FluentCart Free?
Yes. GT Extensions works with FluentCart Free and Pro. Multi-currency checkout requires FluentCart 1.5.5 or newer.
Can I enable only one module?
Yes. Every module has its own switch. Disabled modules do not load their storefront behavior.
Can one order contain several currencies?
No. One selected currency is authoritative for the complete cart and order. This keeps payments, refunds, reports, subscriptions, and renewals internally consistent.
Do I need an exchange-rate API?
No. You can use manual rates and exact local prices. Frankfurter daily reference rates are optional and do not require an API key.
What happens when a gateway does not support a currency?
The gateway is not offered for that currency. If a stale or manipulated request submits it anyway, server-side validation rejects the payment method before processing.
What happens if I deactivate the plugin?
FluentCart returns to its base-currency behavior. Saved GT Extensions settings and price-book records remain available if you reactivate the plugin.
Current version: 2.1.6. The purchase includes one year of updates and email support, with a 14-day refund period if the plugin does not work for your store.
