Is WP Engine running a Black Friday sale this year, and will the old “4 months free” deal come back? Those are the questions behind most WP Engine Black Friday searches. No sale is live yet, and WP Engine rebuilt its plans in September.
Right now, annual plans get 20% off the first year automatically, so the 1-site Essential plan costs $336 for the year, or $28 a month. The code WPE3FREE raises that to 25% off, which brings it to $315.
My advice is to buy with WPE3FREE if you need WP Engine now. Its last confirmed Black Friday deal was 4 months free in 2024, worth about a third off the first year. Last year, its own plans page showed no Black Friday offer.
Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. WP Engine hasn’t announced anything yet.
WP Engine Black Friday Deals: What’s Live Now
These are the offers that work today:
- 20% off the first year: applied automatically when you choose annual billing.
- 25% off the first year with WPE3FREE: about 3 months free on an annual plan.
- Black Friday sale: not announced as of now, and WP Engine’s Black Friday page doesn’t exist yet.
WP Engine Prices Now
Since September 2026, WP Engine sells one shared plan, Essential, in 4 sizes. These are the prices with the auto-applied 20% off.
| Essential size | Monthly | Annual, first year | With WPE3FREE | Renews at | Visits a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 site | $35/mo | $336 ($28/mo) | $315 | $420/yr | 25,000 |
| 3 sites | $65/mo | $624 ($52/mo) | $585 | $780/yr | 75,000 |
| 10 sites | $130/mo | $1,248 ($104/mo) | $1,170 | $1,560/yr | 100,000 |
| 30 sites | $330/mo | $3,168 ($264/mo) | $2,970 | $3,960/yr | 400,000 |
Every Essential size includes daily backups, free SSL, WP Engine’s EverCache, a Cloudflare CDN and one-click staging. A few other changes matter too:
- Business replaced the old Core plan and starts at $400 a month through sales.
- WooCommerce stores now add a $99 a month per-site eCommerce pack instead of buying a separate eCommerce plan.
- Prices rose in February 2026, so last year’s prices won’t come back.
WP Engine Black Friday: Last Year vs This Year
This is what WP Engine itself showed in recent Black Friday seasons:
| Year | Offer on WP Engine’s own site | Worth |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 4 months free with an annual plan | About 33% off the first year |
| 2025 | No Black Friday offer shown on the plans page; deal sites reported 3 to 4 months free | Unconfirmed |
| 2026 | 20% off automatically, 25% with WPE3FREE | Up to 25% off the first year |
Deal sites reported 3 to 4 months free last year, but WP Engine’s plans page didn’t show it, so I can’t confirm what it offered. A repeat of the 2024 deal is possible.
The Fine Print
These terms decide what you’ll really pay:
- Renewal at full price: the 1-site plan renews at $420 a year, and WP Engine says renewal prices can change.
- Visit limits: each size has a monthly visit cap, so a traffic spike can push you to a bigger plan.
- Refunds: the 60-day money-back guarantee disappeared from the plans page in February 2026, and WP Engine’s terms say fees aren’t refundable except where stated. I’d confirm with WP Engine before buying.
- Codes don’t stack: WPE3FREE replaces the automatic 20% rather than adding to it.
Is WP Engine Worth It Without a Sale?
For a business site where downtime costs money, I think it can be. WP Engine handles updates, backups, caching and security, and its support knows WordPress well.
For a blog or a small site, though, $28 a month is a lot. Hosting.com’s managed WordPress starts at $4.49 a month for the first year, and my WP Engine alternatives page compares more options.
WP Engine Black Friday FAQs
Does WP Engine have a Black Friday deal in 2026?
Not yet. Annual plans get 20% off the first year automatically, and the code WPE3FREE raises it to 25%.
Will WP Engine offer 4 months free again?
It’s possible. WP Engine offered it in 2024. In 2025, deal sites reported 3 to 4 months free, but WP Engine’s plans page didn’t show a Black Friday offer.
What is the best WP Engine coupon code right now?
WPE3FREE, which takes 25% off the first year on annual plans. Older codes like WPE4FREE no longer work.
How much does WP Engine cost after the first year?
The 1-site Essential plan renews at $420 a year, and the 3-site plan at $780. WP Engine says renewal prices can change.
Does WP Engine still have a 60-day money-back guarantee?
It’s no longer listed on the plans page, and the terms say fees aren’t refundable except where stated. I’d ask WP Engine before buying.
Does the WordPress.org dispute affect WP Engine customers?
Not day to day. A court restored WP Engine’s access to WordPress.org in December 2024, and the case is still going.
My Take
If you need WP Engine now, I’d buy the annual plan with WPE3FREE and skip waiting. If you can wait, I’d check back in the week of November 24, since a 4-months-free offer would beat WPE3FREE.
