Every Store Screen, Already Designed

WooCommerce takes much of its look from your theme. These are the screens Uranium designs for it.

WooCommerce product page with a flow, head and motor spec rail

Spec Rail on Product Pages

The first three visible attributes, such as flow, head and motor, show as a spec rail above the price.

WooCommerce Mini-Cart drawer open on Uranium

Mini-Cart in the Header

WooCommerce’s Mini-Cart and account blocks sit in Uranium’s header, and the cart opens as a drawer.

WooCommerce Cart block on Uranium

Cart Block

The Cart block uses the theme’s type and accent, with the totals in a side panel.

WooCommerce Checkout block on Uranium

Contact, billing and the order summary use the same hairline fields as the rest of the site.

Uranium WooCommerce shop in dark mode

Dark Mode

The shop, product and cart screens switch with the site’s light and dark toggle.

How Uranium Handles WooCommerce

Uranium styles WooCommerce through hooks and filters. It copies none of WooCommerce’s template files, so WooCommerce updates never leave it with outdated templates.

Hooks, Not Overrides

In the theme
  • No woocommerce template folder in the theme
  • Page wrapper, breadcrumbs and titles set through hooks
  • WooCommerce’s own templates stay in charge of the store

Product Details

In the theme
  • The SKU above the title on product pages
  • A spec rail from the first three visible attributes
  • A short facts line from attributes on shop cards

Store Screens

In the theme
  • The Cart and Checkout blocks
  • My Account
  • Mini-Cart and account icons in the header

Layout and Patterns

In the theme
  • An optional shop sidebar for categories or filters
  • A product rail from the WooCommerce store
  • 54 industrial patterns, including 9 full pages

Page Weight

Measured on the demo
  • 40 requests and about 538 KB on the demo home page
  • 10 KB of theme CSS compressed, plus 5 KB for WooCommerce
  • Fonts from your own domain, about 79 KB
  • WooCommerce adds jQuery; my TBT guide keeps it off pages that don’t need it

All of it switches on when you activate Uranium with WooCommerce installed.

Uranium vs a Premium Industrial Theme

Most industrial WordPress themes are sold on ThemeForest one site at a time and built around a page builder. This is how Uranium compares.

UraniumA typical premium industrial theme
PriceFree$39 to $75 for one site

For named themes, prices, builders and measured demo weights, see my industrial WordPress themes roundup. ThemeForest prices checked on 4 October 2026.

Switch to FluentCart Later, Keep the Theme

Uranium supports WooCommerce and FluentCart. If you move your store to FluentCart one day, the design moves with it: activate FluentCart and the same theme styles the new store.

The FluentCart side of Uranium has its own templates, a cart drawer and a palette map. My FluentCart vs WooCommerce comparison covers when a move makes sense.

Who It's For

Uranium is for industrial businesses that sell on WooCommerce, and for the people who build their sites.

Manufacturers and Equipment Makers

Put product families, spec sheets and the store on one site, with specs pulled from the product attributes you already keep.

Parts Distributors

List spare parts with SKUs and short facts on every card, so a buyer with a part number finds it fast.

Agencies and Freelancers

Uranium is GPL with no license keys and no page builder, so client sites stay editable in the block editor for years.

Uranium Pro Is Coming

Uranium Pro is a separate plugin I’m building for industrial sites that need more than a catalog and a store. It will add:

  • Quote requests from product pages
  • Catalog filters and product compare
  • Product documents such as manuals, data sheets and certificates
  • More interactive blocks and patterns

There’s no release date yet, and the free theme is complete without it. Join the waitlist and I’ll email you once, when it launches.

One email when Uranium Pro launches. No newsletter unless you sign up for it separately.

Questions Before You Install

Do I need a page builder?

No. Uranium builds pages from core blocks and 54 patterns, so you edit everything in the WordPress editor.

Will WooCommerce updates break it?

Uranium copies none of WooCommerce’s template files, so WooCommerce’s outdated-template check has nothing to flag after an update.

Where do the spec rail values come from?

From the product’s visible attributes. The first three show on the product page, so nobody retypes specs into the description.

Can I move to FluentCart later?

Yes. Uranium styles whichever store plugin is active, so the design stays in place when you switch.

Is it really free for client sites?

Yes. Uranium is GPL licensed with no license keys, so you can use it on as many sites as you like.

How do updates work?

The download includes an updater, so new versions show up under Dashboard > Updates like any other theme. No key is needed.

Before You Switch a Live Store

Uranium is at version 0.2.0, and the WooCommerce screens on the demo are the same ones you get. Because it styles WooCommerce through hooks, your store keeps WooCommerce’s own templates and logic.

Try it on a staging copy with your own products and plugins first, then switch the live store. If you’d rather have it set up for you, my WooCommerce development service can do it.

Gaurav Tiwari

Hey, I’m Gaurav 👋

I build WooCommerce stores for clients, and I wanted an industrial theme that stays out of WooCommerce’s way when it updates. Uranium styles WooCommerce through its hooks, so the store keeps WooCommerce’s own templates long after launch.

The numbers, since you probably won’t read a full bio:

  • 18 years building on the web
  • 10,000+ businesses use my products
