Which Blizzard games actually get cheaper on Black Friday, and which ones should you buy now? That’s the question behind most Blizzard Black Friday searches, and the answer depends on the game.
Last year’s Battle.net sale cut older Diablo editions by 55% to 67%. The 2026 releases are a different story. World of Warcraft: Midnight and Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred are this year’s games, so I’d expect much smaller cuts on them.
My advice is to buy the older games on Battle.net during the sale, and to treat the new expansions as a small saving at best. If you’re new to Diablo IV, the Age of Hatred Collection is the one I’d watch.
Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. Blizzard hasn’t announced its Battle.net sale yet. Last year it ran from about November 20 to December 2.
Blizzard Black Friday Prices at a Glance
These are US prices. The last column is the price I’d wait for, based on last year’s Battle.net sale.

What Last Year’s Battle.net Sale Looked Like
Blizzard’s Black Friday sale happens on Battle.net, and last year’s ran from about November 20 to December 2. The Steam versions stayed on sale until December 3. These were the biggest cuts:
- Vessel of Hatred: 65% off every edition, with Standard at $13.99 and Ultimate at $31.49.
- Diablo IV Expansion Bundle: $27.99, or 60% off.
- Diablo IV Standard Edition: $22.49, or 55% off.
- Diablo II: Resurrected: $13.19, or 67% off.
- Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest, Warcraft III: Reforged and StarCraft: Remastered: up to 50% off.
- StarCraft II Campaign Collection: up to 25% off.
The pattern is clear. A game’s first Black Friday brings a modest cut, and its second one brings the deep discount. Vessel of Hatred got 25% to 35% off in 2024 and 65% off in 2025.
Blizzard Games You Don’t Need to Buy
Before spending anything, it’s worth checking what you can already play for free or through a subscription:
- Overwatch: free to play. It dropped the “2” from its name on February 10, 2026, so its Black Friday deals are cosmetic bundles only.
- Hearthstone: free to play, with card packs and bundles sold in the game.
- Diablo IV base game: included in Game Pass Ultimate. The expansions aren’t.
- StarCraft: Remastered and the StarCraft II campaigns: included in PC Game Pass.
Best Blizzard Black Friday Deals
The Diablo IV picks come first, since that’s where most of the savings are. World of Warcraft and gift options follow.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred
Lord of Hatred is Diablo IV’s second expansion, and every edition includes the full Vessel of Hatred expansion too. It adds the Paladin and Warlock classes and the new region of Skovos.
- List price: $39.99
- Price I’d wait for: $27.99 or less
- Released: April 28, 2026
- Needs: the Diablo IV base game, sold separately
Vessel of Hatred got 25% to 35% off in its first Black Friday, so I’d expect about 30% off here. If you skipped Vessel of Hatred, this one purchase covers both expansions.
Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection
The Age of Hatred Collection bundles the Diablo IV base game with both expansions. It’s the edition I’d suggest for anyone starting Diablo IV in 2026.
- List price: $69.99
- Price I’d wait for: $48.99 or less
- Includes: base game, Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred, with all 8 classes
- Replaces: the old Expansion Bundle, which was $27.99 on Battle.net last Black Friday
As a new bundle, it may only get a shallow cut. Buying the base game on sale and adding Lord of Hatred later can work out cheaper, so I’d compare both before checking out.
Diablo IV for PS5
The PS5 disc is the base game only, and it’s the cheapest way into Diablo IV on PlayStation. You can add Lord of Hatred later.
- List price: $69.99
- Black Friday 2025: $22.49 for the PC Standard Edition on Battle.net
- Price I’d wait for: under $25
- Play: cross-play and cross-progression with PC and Xbox
- Needs: an online connection
Amazon already sells this disc for under $30. With Lord of Hatred at $39.99, the total stays well below the Age of Hatred Collection.
Diablo IV for Xbox Series X
This is the base game on disc for Xbox players who don’t keep Game Pass and want to own Diablo IV.
- List price: $69.99
- Black Friday 2025: $22.49 for the PC Standard Edition on Battle.net
- Price I’d wait for: under $25
- Game Pass: the base game is already included in Game Pass
If you have Game Pass, this disc adds nothing. I’d spend the money on Lord of Hatred instead.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Deluxe Edition
The Deluxe Edition adds a Paladin cosmetic bundle, a mount bundle, a pet and a Premium Battle Pass bundle to Lord of Hatred.
- List price: $59.99
- Price I’d wait for: $41.99 or less
- Extras: cosmetics and a Battle Pass bundle, with no extra gameplay
It costs $20 more than Standard for cosmetics. I’d only pick it if you buy the Battle Pass every season anyway.
Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection for Switch 2
This is the same complete Diablo IV package on Nintendo Switch 2, where it launched on September 15, 2026. It suits players who want Diablo IV handheld.
- List price: $69.99
- Price I’d wait for: under $60
- Includes: base game and both expansions
The box holds only a download code. Diablo IV is always online, so you’ll need a connection and storage space.
Diablo II: Resurrected
Diablo II: Resurrected remasters Diablo II and Lord of Destruction. It’s the Blizzard game that goes on sale most reliably.
- List price: $39.99
- Black Friday 2025: $13.19 at Battle.net
- Price I’d wait for: $13.19
- Track record: 67% off on Battle.net in each of the last three Black Friday sales
The Amazon listing is an Xbox code at full price. I’d wait for the Battle.net sale, where it has dropped to $13.19 every year.
Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest
The Battle Chest bundles Warcraft I: Remastered, Warcraft II: Remastered and Warcraft III: Reforged, plus the original versions. It’s a PC-only pick for strategy fans.
- List price: $39.99
- Black Friday 2025: up to 50% off on Battle.net
- Price I’d wait for: $19.99 or less
- Platform: PC only, through Battle.net
Warcraft III: Reforged still carries the reputation of its rough 2020 launch, and I’d only buy it at half price.
World of Warcraft: Midnight
Midnight is World of Warcraft’s current expansion, released on March 2, 2026. The Base Edition also includes The War Within and a level 80 boost.
- List price: $49.99 / $69.99 / $89.99
- Price I’d wait for: Rarely discounted
- Editions: Base $49.99, Heroic $69.99 and Epic $89.99
- Needs: a WoW subscription to play
Blizzard rarely discounts the current WoW expansion by much on Black Friday. The Heroic and Epic extras are mostly cosmetic, so the Base Edition is the one I’d buy.
World of Warcraft: Midnight Collector’s Edition
The Collector’s Edition comes with an Epic Edition key, a hardcover artbook, a pin and a Dark Hart replica. It’s a gift for a Warcraft fan more than a deal.
- List price: $139.99
- Price I’d wait for: Rarely discounted
- Sold by: the Blizzard Gear Store
It costs $50 more than the digital Epic Edition for the physical extras. Last year’s Gear Store sale covered art, apparel and plush, with no sign of collector’s editions.
World of Warcraft 60 Days Game Time
Game time covers 60 days of World of Warcraft, including Classic realms. It’s an easy gift for someone who already owns Midnight.
- List price: $29.99
- Price I’d wait for: Rarely discounted
- Works for: retail WoW and WoW Classic
Game time almost never goes on sale. I’d treat it as a gift option.
Battle.net Gift Card
A Battle.net balance card works on any Blizzard game, WoW game time or in-game item. It suits someone who’d rather pick their own game during the sale.
- List price: $50 (also $20 and $100)
- Price I’d wait for: Face value
- Use: games, game time and in-game items on Battle.net
There’s no bonus credit, so it’s only a deal if the person spends it during the Battle.net sale.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
Game Pass Ultimate includes the Diablo IV base game on console, PC and cloud, plus StarCraft: Remastered and the StarCraft II campaigns on PC.
- List price: $22.99 a month
- Black Friday 2025: $18.99 at Amazon on Cyber Monday, when the list price was $29.99
- Price I’d wait for: under $20 a month
- Not included: Diablo IV expansions, World of Warcraft and Midnight
If you only want Diablo IV’s base game, Game Pass covers it. You’d still buy Lord of Hatred separately.
Game Pass pricing in India is different from the US price.
Blizzard Gear Store Black Friday Sale
The Blizzard Gear Store runs its own sale for merchandise. Last year’s ran through December 1 and included:
- Art: up to 70% off.
- Winter accessories: up to 60% off.
- Drinkware, jackets and plush: up to 50% off.
- T-shirts and hoodies: buy one, get one 60% off over Black Friday weekend.
Merchandise is where Blizzard’s deepest Black Friday cuts usually land, so it’s a good place for gifts.
FAQs on Blizzard Black Friday Deals
When does the Battle.net Black Friday sale start?
Blizzard hasn’t announced 2026 dates yet. Last year’s sale ran from about November 20 to December 2, and 2024’s ended on December 2 too.
Will Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred be on sale for Black Friday?
Likely, but not by much. Vessel of Hatred got 25% to 35% off in its first Black Friday, so about $27.99 for Lord of Hatred Standard is a fair target.
Do I need Vessel of Hatred to play Lord of Hatred?
No. Every edition of Lord of Hatred includes the full Vessel of Hatred expansion. You only need the Diablo IV base game.
Is Diablo IV on Game Pass?
The base game is in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred are sold separately.
Does World of Warcraft go on sale for Black Friday?
Older content does, but the current expansion rarely gets a big cut. Game time is almost never discounted.
Is Overwatch free?
Yes. Overwatch is free to play, so Black Friday deals for it are limited to cosmetic bundles.
The Blizzard Deal I’d Pick
If you’re new to Diablo IV, I’d wait for the Battle.net sale and buy the base game cheaply, then add Lord of Hatred when it drops to around $28. If you already play, Lord of Hatred alone is the purchase that matters this year.
