Data, Privacy and Uninstall

Version 1.4.6 Updated October 19, 2026

Before you add a plugin that touches subscriber data, you should know where that data lives and what’s left behind if you remove it. MailerHive stores little of its own. Most of it is your issues and a few fields on MailerPress contacts.

What MailerHive Stores

  • Issues: the mh_issue post type, with its subtitle, source, source address and linked campaign in post meta (_mh_subtitle, _mh_source, _mh_source_url, _mh_campaign_id). A paid issue’s tier is in _mh_access.
  • Settings: the mailerhive_settings option.
  • License: the mailerhive_license option, encrypted and tied to the site address.
  • Consent policy: the registered forms in the mailerhive_consent_policy option.
  • Paid members: the {prefix}mailerhive_members table, with 1 row per purchase or manual grant.
  • Images: imported and mirrored images in the media library, attached to their issues.

What It Writes to MailerPress Contacts

  • Consent policy: consent_form, consent_recorded_at, consent_version and acquisition_source, plus opt-in details.
  • FluentCart lifecycle: fluentcart_customer_since, last_purchase_at and last_purchased_product, plus purchase, refund, category and abandoned tags.
  • Paid subscriptions: tier list membership and “Paid: {Tier}” and “Paid: Lapsed” tags.

Scheduled Tasks

  • mailerhive_sync_campaigns, hourly: mirrors sent campaigns.
  • mailerhive_paid_sweep, hourly, with paid tiers on: checks for access that ran out.
  • mailerhive_fc_abandoned_sweep, daily, with lifecycle tags on: tags abandoned checkouts.

Privacy Export and Erase

MailerHive adds “MailerHive paid membership” to Tools → Export Personal Data and Tools → Erase Personal Data:

  • Export lists each membership: email, tier, status, mode, start and end.
  • Erase deletes every membership row for that email and takes the contact off the tier lists and tags.

Both stay available after you switch the paid module off, as long as the members table exists. Subscriber data in MailerPress and orders in FluentCart are handled by those plugins’ own tools.

Deactivation

Deactivating MailerHive stops the hourly sync and the paid expiry check and refreshes permalinks. Issue addresses return 404 until you activate it again. Everything else stays.

Uninstall

Deleting MailerHive from the Plugins screen removes:

  • its settings, license, sync record and update cache
  • its scheduled tasks
  • reading link records and mirror locks

It keeps your issues and their images, the paid members table, the consent policy record and everything in MailerPress and FluentCart. The license isn’t released on the store, so select Disconnect from this site on the License tab before you delete the plugin if you want the seat back.
