Xbox Black Friday 2021 is just around the corner, it’s just the right time to start planning to buy products that you may want to buy, including Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, accessories, games, and much more. After all, isn’t it always best to be prepared for such an important occasion?
The Black Friday sale is going to be a rather challenging period for Microsoft as well. The company is almost certainly continuing to deal with the manufacturing and supply issues that have irked it ever since the launch of its next-gen consoles. As a result, the Xbox Series X stock may become especially difficult to track down. Although retailers are quite likely to release new stock for the big day itself, it’ll certainly sell out pretty fast.
Along with the continued high demand for the Xbox Series X and S, this is the reason why it isn’t advisable for Microsoft to offer a significant discount on either console. Nevertheless, I expect to see retailers create bundles of Xbox Series S for clearing through stock for some accessories and games.
Based on my observations during Black Friday 2020 and this year’s Amazon Prime Day sale, I will also present my speculations regarding the Xbox accessories and games that might be discounted during the Black Friday 2021 sale. Many of the games featured during the Prime Day sale tend to turn up again by the time Black Friday arrives.

Are there going to be any Black Friday deals on Xbox Series X?
As I mentioned above, the Xbox Series X is running short in terms of stock at present, and the demand for the console is running extremely high. As a result, I don’t think we’ll be seeing any deals on Xbox Series X during this Black Friday sale.
It’s true that we’re currently in a much better position compared to last year as far as the COVID-19 pandemic is concerned. However, a lot of the issues that have been plaguing the distribution and supply chains are continuing to persist. Moreover, some of them (including the manufacturing of certain structural components) are not directly related to the pandemic itself.
Apart from this, the hype for next-gen consoles is growing exponentially by the day. Considering all of these factors, I see no reason for Microsoft to lower the price of the Xbox Series X in the near future.
That said, I do have some good news to share. If you’ve been looking for a new Series X, know that Microsoft knows well that Black Friday is one of the biggest annual shopping events. Thus, we may reasonably assume that the company will do its best to get as many consoles as possible to retailers for Black Friday.
We may not see any major savings, but they will certainly use the Black Friday 2021 sale as a chance to push out a lot of console stock at once. If we’re lucky, we may even come across some bundles with a game or Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions included at a little discount. You might also find it easier to grab a console if there happens to be a coordinated drop across retail channels. After all, during the Prime Day 2021 sale, the Xbox Series X stock almost miraculously remained alive for a whole hour before selling out. That’s a whole new record, which was previously that of just a few minutes!
To sum up, if you want to get yourself an Xbox Series X before Christmas, then Black Friday is the best opportunity to do so.
Xbox Black Friday console deals
Apart from the Xbox Series X, many people are looking out for deals on the Xbox Series S and the last-gen consoles as well. Speaking of the Xbox Series S, it is one of the cheaper entries in Microsoft’s new line-up. As a result, I don’t think we’ll get to see a significant price reduction during Black Friday, if at all. Series S consoles are now readily available, and it’s quite likely that most retailers will be creating bundles.
If you’ve been looking for an Xbox One, I must mention that Microsoft discontinued the Xbox One X and All-Digital Edition in 2020. Unfortunately, I also feel that any remaining brand new stock of those two consoles will also be gone by now. Although the Xbox One S is still in stock, it has been selling for nearly the same price as the new Series S. Thus, it’s obviously better to purchase the more modern console.
Unless the Xbox One S goes down to around £100/$100 or so, I don’t really see any reason to consider buying it. Nevertheless, at that price, it would serve as a good entry point in case you missed out on last-gen consoles or want to introduce your children to the world of gaming.

Xbox Black Friday games deals
2021 witnessed around 30 games coming exclusively to the Xbox platform. Some of them, such as the new horror adventure The Medium, are already here and many others are on the way. One of the biggest titles in this regard is Halo Infinite, the latest entry in the blockbuster franchise that’s due to be released on the 8th of December.
Coming to third-party titles, I expect that we’ll see discounts on the usual titles from Ubisoft such as Assassin’s Creed, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Watch Dogs. You may also get to see discounts on more recent titles such as Far Cry Six and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
However, I doubt that there’ll be any major discounts on Microsoft’s first-party titles. Since many of these titles will be available on the day of release to Xbox Game Pass subscribers, there’s no real reason to lower their prices. It’s more likely that Microsoft will encourage new players to sign up to Game Pass Ultimate to try out these games at a lesser price. After all, using this strategy, they may gain new members in the process.
Nevertheless, you don’t need to wait for Black Friday to grab some cool new Xbox games for cheap. Let’s take a look at some of the best deals presently available:
- Scarlet Nexus
- Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
- Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition
- Sniper Elite 4
- Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2
- Battlefield 2042
- Hitman III
- Call of Duty Vanguard
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate deals
Over the past two years or so, Microsoft has put up a pretty appreciable offer live for first-time Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers during Black Friday. Using this offer, they will be able to get three months of Game Pass Ultimate for just $1/£1. It is undoubtedly an excellent way to try out the already great value service if you haven’t done it yet.
The question is, what’s in there for existing customers? In the past, we used to a regular discount of 50% off that hasn’t turned up for some time now. However, it’s possible that Microsoft will offer something similar for the Xbox Black Friday deals bonanza. Some people have been guessing that they’re trying to withhold that offering now due to the exponential increase in the number of subscribers during 2020, along with the growing value of membership.
Xbox Black Friday accessory deals
Last year, controllers were one of the most popular Xbox Black Friday deals. I won’t be surprised if we get to see those offers being repeated this year. There might be minor discounts on the full range of Xbox Wireless Controllers, probably including the Shock Blue and newer Aqua Shift and Pulse Red variations.
Apart from this, many people are hoping to see a discount on the highly expensive Seagate Storage Expansion Card for the Xbox Series X and Series S. This device is the only way to increase your storage space on the Xbox Series X and Series S for next-gen game installs. Although we know that 2TB and smaller 512MB versions were announced last month, they won’t be available until Christmas.
As of now, all external hard drives – both mechanical and SSDs – are only useful for storing next-gen games or running older Xbox One titles. The 1TB version is priced in the range of $240-$299, so a little discount on that would be welcome as well.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are all about grabbing the best deals on popular products. Microsoft’s Xbox consoles truly revolutionized the world of gaming and are coveted by hundreds of thousands of gamers out there. Because they usually tend to be so expensive, many people are unable to afford them.
Thus, if you’re a dedicated gamer and would like to get yourself an Xbox console or game, Black Friday is an excellent opportunity to do so. I hope this article helps you get a great deal on a console or title that you’ve wanted for a long.
