Surface Pro Black Friday deals start from a higher price this year. Microsoft raised Surface prices in April 2026, then launched the Snapdragon X2 Surface Pro in June at $1,499.99 for 16GB and 256GB, and the keyboard still costs extra. Last Black Friday, the previous Surface Pro 11 sold for $749.99 at Amazon.
So the deal worth chasing depends on how much you need the newest chip. For most people it’s the 2026 Surface Pro at or under $1,199 for 16GB and 512GB, or leftover Surface Pro 11 stock at a clearance price. The Surface Pro 7 is a 2019 tablet that stopped getting driver and firmware updates in February 2024, so a cheap one is rarely a bargain.

Surface Pro Prices and Lows
These are the Surface Pro models you’ll see on sale this November, with Microsoft’s list price and the lowest price each has sold for at a major retailer:

The keyboard is the hidden part of the price. Microsoft lists the 13-inch Surface Pro Keyboard at $169.99, the version with pen storage at $179.99, the keyboard with Slim Pen at $279.99 and the Flex Keyboard at $399.99. A bundle that includes the keyboard is worth more than a slightly bigger discount on the tablet alone.
Surface Pro Black Friday Price Targets
These are the prices I’d wait for, based on the lows above and the 2026 price increases:
- Surface Pro (2026), 16GB/512GB: $1,199 or less. It already hit $1,299.99 in July.
- Surface Pro (2026), 16GB/256GB: $1,099 or less. It dropped to $1,129.99 in October.
- Surface Pro 11 with 16GB: $799 or less. It sold for $749.99 last Black Friday.
- 12-inch Surface Pro (2026): $999 or less, because it’s $1,149.99 before you add a keyboard.
Is the 2026 Surface Pro Worth It?
Only at a real discount. Notebookcheck scored the 2026 Surface Pro 84% and found it only slightly faster than the 2024 model while costing $300 more. Its test unit ran hot under load, the OLED version’s screen uses PWM flicker, and there’s no headphone jack or SD card reader. The reviewer suggested buying the previous model while stock lasts.
The Snapdragon chip also brings the usual Windows on Arm caveat: most apps run fine, but some games with anti-cheat software and older printer or scanner drivers don’t. I’d buy the 2026 Surface Pro at $1,199 or less, and I’d happily take a Surface Pro 11 with 16GB at a clearance price instead.
What About the Surface Pro 7?
The Surface Pro 7 launched in October 2019 with Intel 10th-generation chips. Microsoft ended its driver and firmware updates on February 28, 2024. It still gets Windows security updates, because its processor supports Windows 11, but no new firmware fixes, and the batteries in 2019 tablets are often worn.
A used or refurbished Surface Pro 7 is worth it only when these are all true:
- The price is clearly below a new Chromebook Plus or 16GB budget Windows laptop.
- The seller states the battery health or cycle count.
- It has at least 8GB of memory and comes with the keyboard.
- The return window is 30 days or longer.
The Surface Pro 7+, a separate model released in January 2021, keeps getting firmware updates until January 15, 2027, so it’s the safer used buy of the two.
When Surface Black Friday Deals Start
Black Friday falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30. Last year, Microsoft’s own Black Friday sale on Surface ran from November 20 to 29, and Amazon and Best Buy started their Black Friday events on November 20 too. The three sales overlapped last year, so compare all three before you buy.
