Liquid Web Black Friday Deals: 50% Off Managed VPS, Cloud and Dedicated

Liquid Web sells managed hosting, the kind where someone else patches the server and picks up the phone at 3 a.m., and its Black Friday deal looks like that business. Last year every server product went half price for 2 months: a managed VPS at $29.50 instead of $59, managed dedicated at $111.50 instead of $223.

Two months at half price saves you one month’s bill, once. And the managed VPS page shows the same 50% off for 2 months right now, in October. So the sale lowers a few starting prices without changing what Liquid Web costs to live with.

The company behind it has changed more than its prices. Liquid Web absorbed Nexcess, and this year the group started trading as Nexcess Corp., with Liquid Web, nexcess.com and Servers.com under one roof. That matters if you are buying for the long run, so it gets its own section below.

Liquid Web’s Black Friday Offers

What last year’s Black Friday page listed, and what each product costs once the discount ends:

The saving on a managed VPS was about $59, and on managed dedicated about $111. Fair ways to try Liquid Web cheaply; poor reasons to commit to it.

Do You Need Managed Hosting at All?

Before any Liquid Web plan, settle this. Fully managed means Liquid Web runs the operating system, the control panel, security patches and the overnight outage for you. You pay for that every month whether anything breaks or not.

  • Worth paying for: a business site that loses money when it is down, a store with daily orders, or a team with nobody who wants to touch a server
  • Not worth paying for: a blog, a brochure site, or anyone comfortable with a server panel

If you are in the second group, Cloudways or a Hostinger KVM gives you more machine for less.

From Liquid Web to Nexcess Corp.

The ownership story is the part of this page most deal sites miss:

  • February 2024: One brand. Liquid Web and Nexcess announced they would run as one brand, and Nexcess folded into Liquid Web over the next year and a half, with nexcess.net redirecting to liquidweb.com.
  • 2026: Nexcess Corp. The group now trades as Nexcess Corp. Liquid Web is its hosting brand for small businesses and agencies, nexcess.com has returned for regulated managed cloud in areas such as healthcare and finance, and Servers.com runs bare metal.
  • 2026: The software side. Kadence, LearnDash, GiveWP and The Events Calendar sit in the same group and are pitched as one ecosystem on Liquid Web hosting.
  • 2026: New WordPress tiers. Essentials costs $9, Pro $19 and Elite $29 a month.

For a customer, the visible effect so far is a cleaner product line. Watch whether prices follow the new structure next year.

Liquid Web Products Worth Considering

Managed WordPress

Managed WordPress is the product for one important site whose owner never wants a developer for routine work. These plans came from the Nexcess side of the family.

  • Essentials: $9/mo, 1 site, 50,000 visitors, 15 GB, 2 TB bandwidth, 7-day backups, staging, automatic updates, visual comparison
  • Pro: $19/mo, adds 14-day backups, Stencils, Patchstack virtual patching and a migration done by a person
  • Elite: $29/mo, adds 30-day backups

Pro is the one I would pick. Patchstack virtual patching blocks known plugin holes before the plugin author ships a fix, and a hand-run migration of a live site is worth the $10 difference by itself. Compare it with WPX, which starts at a similar price and is known for fast chat support.

Managed VPS

Managed VPS is the core Liquid Web product: your own resources with Liquid Web running the server.

  • 4 GB RAM: $72/mo, 2 vCPU, 80 GB SSD, 3 TB bandwidth
  • 8 GB RAM: $100/mo, 4 vCPU, 240 GB SSD, 5 TB bandwidth
  • 16 GB RAM: $145/mo, 6 vCPU, 440 GB SSD, 7 TB bandwidth
  • cPanel, Plesk or InterWorx; 50% off the first 2 months on most sizes right now

Size it for month 3, not for the discounted months. I would start a business moving off shared hosting at 8 GB.

Cloud VPS

Cloud VPS is Liquid Web at its cheapest, available self-managed or fully managed.

  • From $5/mo for 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 30 GB SSD and 1 TB bandwidth
  • 4 GB at $17/mo, 8 GB at $45/mo, 16 GB at $90/mo
  • Hourly billing, root access, Linux or Windows

The $5 plan is a developer sandbox. For self-managed WordPress, Hetzner, Vultr and RackNerd usually cost less for the same resources.

Managed Dedicated

Managed Dedicated is a whole physical machine with Liquid Web’s team running it.

  • Last Black Friday from $111.50/mo for 2 months, then from $223/mo
  • cPanel, Plesk or InterWorx, high bandwidth, remote management, Acronis backups

Large WooCommerce stores, membership sites with heavy logged-in traffic and agencies hosting dozens of sites on one box are the usual buyers. Cheap dedicated hosting covers lower-cost options.

Cheaper Routes

  • A blog or small site: shared hosting on a long term, compared in the Black Friday hosting roundup.
  • Managed WordPress from another angle: the WP Engine alternatives list covers Kinsta, WPX and the rest.
  • A long fixed price: Liquid Web discounts 2 months, so look at hosts that discount years if that is what you want.

Liquid Web Black Friday FAQs

What was the Liquid Web Black Friday deal?

50% off the first 2 months on managed VPS, managed cloud, managed dedicated and bare metal, plus 33% off WordPress hosting from $4 a month.

Is the Black Friday deal different from normal pricing?

Not much. Most managed VPS sizes show 50% off for 2 months outside the sale too; the Black Friday page mainly lowers a few starting prices.

What do Liquid Web plans cost after the discount?

A fully managed 4 GB VPS is $72 a month, 8 GB $100 and 16 GB $145. Managed WordPress is $9, $19 or $29 a month.

Is Liquid Web now Nexcess?

Both are part of Nexcess Corp. Liquid Web remains the hosting brand for small businesses and agencies; nexcess.com is back for regulated managed cloud.

Which Liquid Web plan suits one WordPress site?

Managed WordPress Pro at $19 a month, for the virtual patching and the hand-run migration.

Is Liquid Web billed monthly?

Yes, monthly or hourly, which is why its discount is a 2-month trial price rather than a multi-year lock.

Who Should Pay for Liquid Web

Businesses that want a server they never think about, and the support to back that up. For them, last year’s 2 months at half price was a cheap trial. Size the plan for full price from the start, and use those 2 months to find out whether the support is worth it to you.
