InMotion Hosting Black Friday Deals: Plans, Renewals and the 90-Day Test

InMotion gives you 90 days to change your mind on shared hosting, and that is the strongest reason to buy it on Black Friday. A plan bought on the Friday after Thanksgiving can be tested on real traffic until late February, long after every other host’s 30-day window has closed.

The price side is more ordinary. InMotion’s banner last November promised up to 75% off shared hosting. Today Launch is $4.79 a month on a 1-year term and renews at $14.99, and Power goes from $5.79 to $18.99. Year two costs about three times year one, sale or no sale.

I have used InMotion for US clients who wanted a person on the phone, and that is still how I would describe it: a business host with phone support and cPanel, priced for that, and neither the cheapest nor the fastest option I know.

InMotion Shared Hosting Prices

The shared line is Launch, Power and Pro; the old Core plan no longer appears on InMotion’s shared hosting page. Prices on the 1-year term it shows by default:

PlanFirst yearRenews atSites and storageTraffic guideSupport
Power$5.79/mo$18.99/mo10 sites, 200 GB NVMeAbout 300,000 visits a monthChat and phone
Launch$4.79/mo$14.99/mo2 sites, 100 GB NVMeAbout 50,000 visits a monthChat
Pro$10.59/mo$25.99/mo40 sites, 300 GB NVMe, 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAMAbout 500,000 visits a monthChat and phone

Power sits at the top on purpose. One dollar over Launch buys 5 times the sites, double the storage, phone support and a 99.99% uptime guarantee.

InMotion 90-day money-back window from Black Friday to late February, against the usual 30 days

Use the 90 Days Properly

A long refund window only helps if you use it to find problems. This is the test I would run on an InMotion plan bought in the sale:

  • Week 1: move the real site, not a demo, using the free migration InMotion offers on shared plans.
  • Week 2: run PageSpeed Insights from the region your readers are in and save the result.
  • Week 3: call support with a real question, which is the one thing you are paying extra for.
  • Month 2: watch an uptime monitor and the site during your own busy days.
  • Before day 90: decide. After that, the money-back guarantee no longer covers you.

What InMotion Discounted Last Year

  • Shared hosting: up to 75% off the first term
  • WordPress hosting: up to 70% off the first term
  • Select products: up to 97% off the first month
  • Premier Care: discounts on InMotion’s managed support add-on

Skip past the 97%. A first-month discount on monthly billing saves a few dollars once; the shared hosting discount on a 1, 2 or 3-year term is what lowers your bill.

The Three Plans

Power

For myself or for a US client, Power is the one I would choose.

  • $5.79/mo on 1 year, renews at $18.99/mo
  • 10 websites, 200 GB NVMe storage
  • Live chat and phone support
  • 99.99% uptime guarantee

A phone line and an uptime guarantee for less than six dollars is the combination InMotion is built around. At $18.99 on renewal it stops being cheap, which is exactly what the 90 days are for.

Launch

Launch is a strong entry plan on paper, with one catch.

  • $4.79/mo on 1 year, renews at $14.99/mo
  • 2 websites, 100 GB NVMe storage, unmetered bandwidth
  • Live chat support, free SSL, free migration
  • Free domain only with a 12, 24 or 36-month term

A hundred gigabytes on the cheapest tier is generous. The catch is that Launch has chat only, and phone support is the main reason people come to InMotion.

Pro

Pro is for a business site or small agency with steady traffic.

  • $10.59/mo on 1 year, renews at $25.99/mo
  • 40 websites, 300 GB NVMe storage
  • 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM reserved for the account
  • Live chat and phone support

At $25.99 a month on renewal it competes with entry managed servers such as Cloudways. Choose Pro if you want cPanel and phone support; choose a server if you want room to grow.

Year One vs Year Two

InMotion also sells 2 and 3-year terms, and a longer term usually lowers the first-term monthly price, so compare them in the cart. On the default 1-year term:

PlanYear oneYear twoFirst three years
Power$69.48$227.88$525.24
Launch$57.48$179.88$417.24
Pro$127.08$311.88$750.84

InMotion in 2026

  • 25 years. InMotion has run since 2001 and carries the anniversary in its logo this year.
  • Core is off the shared page. Launch, Power and Pro remain, all on NVMe.
  • cPanel costs more. The 2026 cPanel licence increase lands on every InMotion shared plan.
  • The refund window stayed at 90 days, the second-longest I know after DreamHost’s 97.

Look Elsewhere If

  • Price is the deciding factor. Hostinger and Namecheap renew lower.
  • Your audience is in Asia. A host with an India or Singapore location will serve them faster.
  • You want WordPress fully managed. Liquid Web and WPX take that work off you.

The Plan I Would Buy

Power, on the longest term whose price you like in the cart, bought in the sale and tested hard for 90 days. If the phone support earns its keep in that time, the renewal is a fair price for it. If it doesn’t, you have until late February to walk away.
