Audible Black Friday Deal 2026

If you’re looking for an Audible Black Friday deal, I get why the offers are confusing. The 99-cent price looks the same as last year’s, but it now sits on a cheaper plan, and the books on that plan lock when you cancel. You could pay for 3 months and leave with nothing you can still play.

My advice is simple. If you’re new to Audible, I’d wait until mid-November, because Audible added a $20 credit to its 99-cent offer around then in each of the last 2 years. If you want to keep your books after you cancel, I’d skip the 99-cent deal and start on Premium instead.

Audible is Amazon’s audiobook service, where a monthly plan gets you books to listen to in its app. It hasn’t announced a Black Friday 2026 sale yet, and its current 99-cent offer runs until December 28. So waiting a few weeks shouldn’t cost you anything.

Before the details, here’s where each offer stands.

Audible Black Friday Deals at a Glance

Audible Black Friday offer: $0.99 a month for 3 months of Standard, then $8.99 a month, ending December 28.

These are the US prices on Audible’s pages right now, before tax. Black Friday falls on November 27 this year and Cyber Monday on November 30.

Audible Standard vs Premium

This is the part that decides whether the deal is good for you. The 99-cent deals in 2024 and 2025 were on Premium Plus, which Audible is now renaming Premium.

Audible launched Standard on March 3, 2026, and the monthly 99-cent offers I can find since then are all on Standard. The price stayed the same and the plan got cheaper, so 99 cents now buys you less.

  • Standard at $8.99 a month: you pick 1 audiobook a month from the full collection. Unused selections don’t roll over. The books you picked lock when you cancel and come back if you rejoin.
  • Premium at $14.95 a month: you get 1 credit a month plus the Plus Catalog, a rotating set of titles you can listen to while you’re a member. A book you buy with a credit stays yours after you cancel.
  • Credits: these expire 12 months after you get them, or when your membership ends. Audible’s page on cancelling says unused credits are lost at the end of your final billing cycle, so you should spend them first.

Here’s the same 3 months under each deal:

DealCost for 3 monthsWhat you have after you cancel
Last year’s Black Friday deal, Premium Plus$2.973 books you keep, plus anything you bought with the $20 credit
This year’s offer so far, Standard$2.97Nothing you can play until you rejoin
Premium at full price$44.853 books you keep

Standard should be picked if you’ll stay subscribed and finish about a book a month. It saves you $5.96 a month over Premium, and locked books don’t matter while you keep paying.

Premium should be picked if you want a few books for good or you know you’ll cancel. I wouldn’t use a 3-month Standard deal to build a library, because you’re paying for access you lose at the end of it.

Should You Wait for Black Friday?

Yes, if you’re new to Audible and can wait a couple of weeks. In each of the last 2 years, Audible ran its 99-cent price through the fall and then added a $20 credit close to Black Friday.

YearOfferPlan$20 credit showed up$20 credit endedOffer ended
2026 so far$0.99 a month for 3 monthsStandardNot yetNot yetDecember 28
2025$0.99 a month for 3 monthsPremium PlusBy November 12December 1December 16
2024$0.99 a month for 3 monthsPremium PlusBetween November 17 and 21December 2December 31
2023$5.95 a month for 4 monthsPremium PlusBy November 18November 27December 31, per Amazon

Audible also added a $20 credit to the Standard offer during this year’s October Prime sale, and that ended on October 7. So I’d treat $0.99 a month for 3 months plus $20 as the price to beat. If Black Friday brings less than that, you aren’t getting a better deal than people got in October.

None of this is a promise. The credit could skip this year or arrive on different terms, so I’d check the offer page around November 12 and again on November 27. If nothing has changed by Cyber Monday, you can still take the 99-cent offer until December 28.

Last year’s credit came with limits you should plan for, and a new one may carry similar terms:

  • It arrived within 48 hours of signing up.
  • It expired on December 31, about a month after the offer closed.
  • It worked only on cash purchases at Audible.com, and gifts were excluded.

The $99 Audible Premium Offer

A tile on Audible’s home and plans pages offers a first year of Premium for $99, with 12 credits up front. That’s $8.25 a credit, and it costs less than a year of Standard at $107.88 even though you keep the books.

The problem is that the offer terms say it ended on September 13, 2026 and is by invitation only, yet the tile is still there. Audible’s own pages can’t agree on whether this offer exists, so you’ll have to sign in and click it to find out.

If your account gets it, I’d take it over anything else on this page. These are the conditions that come with it:

  • It renews at $149.50 a year, so you should set a reminder for month 11.
  • Annual credits expire 12 months after you get them, so all 12 need spending within the year.
  • Annual plans can’t be paused.

Audible for Prime Members

Audible isn’t included with Prime, and Audible says Prime members get no extra discount on its plans. The one thing they do get is a better trial.

If you’re a Prime member new to Audible, the 30-day Premium trial comes with 2 credits, against 1 for everyone else. Books bought with those credits stay yours, so that’s 2 books for $0 if you cancel before the trial ends. For a Prime member who just wants a couple of books, I’d take this over any 99-cent offer.

How to Get the Audible Deal

Audible’s terms limit who can take the 99-cent offer, so you should check these first:

  • You can’t be an existing member or in a trial right now.
  • You can’t have taken more than 2 promotional offers in the last 14 months.
  • It’s 1 per customer and can’t be combined with another offer.

If you qualify, these are the steps:

  1. Open the Audible offer page and check that it shows the price and the plan you expect.
  2. Keep the payment method it shows at checkout. The terms warn that changing it may stop the promo from applying.
  3. Pick a book every month, because unused selections don’t roll over.
  4. Set a reminder a few days before month 3 ends. The plan moves to $8.99 a month after that.

Audible Black Friday for Existing Members

If you already pay for Audible, the sign-up deals aren’t for you. The terms in 2024, 2025 and this year all exclude existing members, and I couldn’t find a Black Friday offer for members in any of those years.

You still have a few ways to pay less:

  • Sales and deals: Audible’s Sales & Deals page runs a daily deal and monthly deals of up to 85% off. Some of these sales are for Premium members only.
  • 2-for-1 sales: Premium members with a credit get 2 selected titles for 1 credit from time to time. One ran from May 8 to 10 this year, and Audible announces them by email and site banner.
  • Annual plan: the 24-credit plan at $229.50 brings a credit down to $9.56, against $14.95 on the monthly plan and $12.46 on the 12-credit plan.
  • Extra credits: active Premium members can buy more. Audible shows the price only after you sign in, and reports put it at about $10 to $12 a credit.
  • Pause: monthly members can pause for up to 90 days in 12 months after 30 days of paid membership. Existing credits stay usable and no new ones arrive.

I read people saying you should cancel to get a retention offer. Some members do report one, but Audible doesn’t document it and it varies by account, so you can’t plan around it.

Cancelling to qualify for the sign-up deal is riskier. The terms state no waiting period, but nothing promises it will work and you lose unused credits when the membership ends. It is wise to spend your credits before you try it.

Audible Black Friday Outside the US

The same offer runs on some of Audible’s other stores, and the terms differ by country:

  • UK: £0.99 a month for 3 months, then £5.99 a month, ending December 28.
  • Canada: $0.99 a month for 3 months, then $8.99 a month, ending December 28.
  • India: Audible.in shows no such offer. The plan is ₹199 a month with 1 credit, and Prime members get a 30-day trial with 2 credits.

At ₹199 a month for a credit you keep, India’s regular price is already a fair one if you want to keep the books.

Audible Alternatives

A cheap Audible deal only helps if Audible suits how you listen. These are the options I’d compare, at their US prices:

ServicePriceWhat you getMy take
Libro.fm$14.99 a month1 credit a month that never expires, and you keep unused credits if you cancelBetter than Premium if expiring credits bother you
Kindle+$11.99 a monthThousands of audiobooks to borrow, some AI-narrated, with up to 20 items at onceWorth a look if you also read ebooks. It was called Kindle Unlimited until October 22
Spotify Premium$12.99 a month15 hours of audiobooks a month that don’t roll overGood if you already pay for it, and too little for a heavy listener
LibbyFree with a library cardBorrowed audiobooks from your local library, with wait times that depend on the libraryThe first one I’d try if the budget is the point

FAQs on Audible Black Friday

Does Audible have a Cyber Monday deal?

It has so far. The $20 credit ended on Cyber Monday in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and the low monthly price carried on for a few weeks after it. Audible hasn’t announced anything for November 30 this year.

How much is Audible a month without a deal?

Standard is $8.99 a month and Premium is $14.95 a month, before tax. Audible Plus at $7.95 closed to new members on March 3, 2026, though current members can keep it.

Do Audible credits expire?

Yes. Credits expire 12 months after you get them or when you cancel, whichever comes first, and there’s no limit on how many you can hold. Credits issued through the App Store or Google Play don’t expire and survive cancelling.

Can I cancel Audible at any time?

Yes, and Audible charges no cancellation fee. It emails a reminder before a trial ends, and you aren’t charged if you cancel before then. Promotional months keep counting if you pause, so a pause won’t stretch the 99-cent price.

Final Remarks

If you still can’t decide, I’d let your listening habit settle it. If you finish about a book a month and plan to stay, I’d take Standard at 99 cents once the $20 credit shows up. If you want a few books you’ll keep, I’d start a Premium trial and check whether the $99 offer works on your account.
