Saved Carts keeps a reusable shopping list of product options and quantities. Order Again starts a new cart from an eligible previous purchase so a returning customer does not need to rebuild it item by item.

Both workflows use current prices and availability. They do not promise the original order total, coupon, customizations or delivery slot.

Give Customers Access

Enable Saved Carts & Order Again. The feature appears in FluentCart’s customer account menu with a cart icon. For a separate page, add:

[gtfc_saved_carts]

Customers must sign in to manage their lists. A standalone page can keep its normal page title; the shortcode does not need a second large Saved carts heading above it.

Save and Restore a List

The customer adds catalog products to a regular cart, gives it a name such as Monthly office supplies, then chooses Save cart.

  • An account can keep 10 saved carts.
  • Review cart rebuilds the list using current catalog data.
  • Remove saved cart deletes that saved list.
  • Private lists can only be restored by their owner.
  • Locked invoice carts cannot be saved as reusable shopping lists.

Example: Monthly Supplies

A customer saves 3 notebooks and 2 pen packs. Next month, Review cart checks whether those options still exist and can be purchased. The customer then checks the current amounts and selects any gift wrapping or delivery preferences again.

Order Again

Eligible paid orders appear under Order again. Review a new cart creates a fresh purchase rather than reopening or modifying the old order.

Unavailable products, subscription items and external products are skipped where unsupported, with an explanation. If none of the items can be purchased, the customer must return to the shop to choose alternatives. Saving a list is convenient, but the checkout remains the place to confirm today’s order.
