Service Products adds a service choice to FluentCart’s product creation flow. It is for work paid through your store that your team still needs to perform, such as an audit, consultation or design service.
A service has no physical shipping requirement and does not use stock tracking by default. Its paid order stays Processing until your team completes the work rather than being treated as an automatically delivered download.
Create the Product
Enable Service Products, then open FluentCart → Products → Add Product.
- Choose Service Product and enter the product title.
- Complete the normal product details and pricing.
- Use supported product options when customers need to choose between service packages.
- Open Service settings from the product’s menu.
- Confirm the service setting and add after-payment instructions.
- Save the settings and publish the product when it is ready.
Products marked as services show a highlighted Service settings badge in the native product menu. You can use that screen to review the service flag and instructions for an existing product too.
Example: A Website Audit
Create an audit product and use the instructions to explain the next step: Send your website URL and the main issue you want reviewed through your customer account. Keep private credentials out of public product copy and the receipt instructions.
After a successful payment, the customer sees the instructions on the receipt. Your team reviews the native order, performs the work and marks it complete through FluentCart’s order workflow.
Pricing and Fulfillment Boundaries
Use the currency price book for deliberate local pricing or quotes when the amount depends on the request. A service remains different from an external product, whose payment happens on another website.
The service choice does not add appointment availability, staff calendars, timesheets or an automatic fulfillment workflow. Use a dedicated scheduling process when a service needs an appointment. Check the product’s native pricing capabilities separately when using subscription or advanced-variation features.
