Elementor Hosting Review Update: Cheating?

Elementor has completely rebranded its hosting product. What was once “Elementor Cloud Website” is now simply Elementor Hosting (or Elementor Host). The plans, pricing, and features have all changed significantly since my original review.

The good news? Elementor Hosting is now a much more serious hosting product. The bad news? Elementor Pro is no longer included, and the effective pricing has gone up.

Elementor Hosting Review: Updated for 2026

Elementor launched its hosting product back in 2022 as “Elementor Cloud Website.” It was a simple pitch: WordPress + Elementor Pro + hosting, all bundled for $99/year.

That product has evolved significantly. It’s now called Elementor Hosting (sometimes referred to as “Elementor Host”), and it’s a proper managed WordPress hosting service running on Google Cloud C2 infrastructure with Cloudflare Enterprise CDN.

The catch? Elementor Pro is now sold separately. So the “all-in-one” value proposition has shifted. Let’s break down what you actually get in 2026.

Elementor Hosting Plans and Pricing (2026)

Elementor Hosting now offers four main plans, plus an Enterprise tier. All plans are billed annually and include a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Host Cloud costs $14.99/month ($180/year). You get 1 auto-scaling website, 10,000 monthly visits, 10GB SSD storage, 10GB monthly bandwidth, and 7 days of automatic daily backups.

Host Cloud+ (the most popular plan) costs $24.99/month ($300/year). This bumps you up to 20,000 monthly visits, 20GB SSD storage, 20GB bandwidth, and 14 days of backups.

Host Cloud x3 costs $34.99/month ($420/year) and supports 3 websites with 50,000 monthly visits, 40GB storage, 30GB bandwidth, and 30 days of backups. This plan also adds site cloning.

Host Cloud x10 is for agencies managing multiple sites. It supports 10 websites with 100,000 monthly visits, 100GB storage, 50GB bandwidth, and 60 days of backups.

How the pricing has changed: The original Elementor Cloud Website launched at $99/year with Elementor Pro included. Then it jumped to $120-$240/year depending on the plan. Now the base plan is $180/year, and Elementor Pro costs extra. The hosting itself is better, but the total cost of ownership has increased.

What’s Included in Every Plan

Elementor has significantly improved what comes with every hosting plan. Here’s what you get across all tiers:

• Google Cloud C2 infrastructure with auto-scaling that handles traffic spikes without manual intervention
• Cloudflare Enterprise CDN for global content delivery (this alone is a major upgrade from the original offering)
• Free domain name for the first year
• Free site migration handled by Elementor’s team

• Enterprise security: Premium SSL, WAF (Web Application Firewall), DDoS and botnet protection, vulnerability scanner, and activity log
• Redis object caching for faster database queries

• Multiple PHP versions
• Unlimited PHP workers
• Pre-installed WordPress and Elementor (free version)
• Automated WordPress updates
• Google Analytics integration
• Unlimited team members
• 24/7 expert support
• 99.9% uptime guarantee

This is a massive improvement over the original Elementor Cloud Website. Features like auto-scaling, Redis caching, WAF, and staging environments put it closer to premium managed hosting providers like Kinsta and Rocket.net.

Elementor Hosting Performance

Elementor claims 109ms Time to First Byte (TTFB) and #1 Core Web Vitals scores. Running on Google Cloud C2 instances with Cloudflare Enterprise CDN, the infrastructure is solid.

The addition of Redis object caching and unlimited PHP workers is notable. Most budget hosting providers cap PHP workers, which causes slowdowns under concurrent requests. Elementor doesn’t.

Auto-scaling is another welcome feature. If your site suddenly gets a traffic spike (say, a post goes viral or you run a promotion), the hosting scales resources automatically instead of crashing. This was not available in the original Elementor Cloud product.

The Elephant in the Room: Elementor Pro Sold Separately

This is the biggest change from the original product. When Elementor Cloud Website launched, Elementor Pro was bundled free with every plan. That made the $99/year price tag incredibly attractive.

Now? Elementor Pro is sold separately. The hosting plans only include the free Elementor editor. If you want Pro features (80+ widgets, theme builder, popup builder, WooCommerce builder, form builder, etc.), you’ll need to buy a separate Elementor Pro license.

So the real cost comparison looks like this:

• 2022: $99/year for hosting + Elementor Pro = total $99/year
• 2026: $180/year for hosting + Elementor Pro from $59/year = total $239+/year

That’s more than double the original price for roughly the same combo. Yes, the hosting is significantly better now, but for early adopters who signed up at $99 expecting a flat rate forever, this feels like a bait-and-switch. And I stand by that assessment.

Onboarding and Setup Experience

The onboarding process remains smooth. You pick a plan, pay with Credit Card or PayPal, and get guided through a setup wizard.

WordPress comes pre-installed with the Elementor plugin. You can start building immediately or import one of Elementor’s website kits for a head start.

Elementor now also offers free migration, which is a nice touch. If you have an existing WordPress site on another host, their team will move it over for you at no extra cost.

The hosting control panel gives you access to backups, staging, SFTP, PHP version switching, and more. It’s cleaner and more capable than the original dashboard.

Banned Plugins on Elementor Hosting

Like most managed WordPress hosts, Elementor Hosting restricts certain plugins for performance and security reasons. The banned list includes:

• Competing page builders: Beaver Builder, Divi Builder, Brizy, Oxygen Builder, Visual Composer, Site Origin Panels
• Caching plugins: WP Total Cache, BWP Minify, SiteGround CachePress (caching is handled at the server level)
• Migration/backup plugins: Duplicator, Updraft Plus, WP Clone, WPVivid, Migrate Guru, WP Migrate, BlueHost Site Migrator, SiteGround Migrator, Backup Guard, VaultPress
• Security/utility: Really Simple SSL, Limit Login Attempts Reloaded, JetPack, Heartbeat Control, WP File Manager, WP Reset
• Others: Customizer Export/Import, Image Map Pro, Peepso, QTranslate X, Shortcodes Ultimate, WD Facebook Feed, WP All In One Import

The ban on competing page builders makes sense from Elementor’s perspective, but it does limit your flexibility. If you ever want to switch builders, you’d need to switch hosts too.

Should You Choose Elementor Hosting?

Elementor Hosting in 2026 is a completely different product from the $99/year Elementor Cloud Website of 2022. It’s objectively better hosting with Google Cloud C2, Cloudflare Enterprise, auto-scaling, Redis, staging, and proper security features.

But it’s also more expensive, and the removal of Elementor Pro from the bundle changes the value equation significantly.

Elementor Hosting makes sense if:

• You’re already committed to the Elementor ecosystem
• You want a managed hosting solution that’s optimized specifically for Elementor sites
• You value features like auto-scaling and staging environments
• You’re an agency that wants to manage client sites under one dashboard

You should look elsewhere if:

• You don’t use Elementor (the plugin restrictions make this a non-starter)
• You need more than 10,000 monthly visits on a budget (the base plan is limited)
• You want more flexibility with themes and builders
• You need to host more than a few sites without paying agency-level prices

For most WordPress users, I’d still recommend Cloudways or Kinsta for managed hosting, and Hostinger or SiteGround for budget-friendly shared hosting. They give you more freedom to use any theme, builder, or plugin you want.
