7 pre-built patterns registered under the dmyip-dynamic-dates category. Access from the Block Inserter > Patterns tab or the / slash command in the editor.
The 7 dynamic date patterns are pre-composed, theme-neutral starting points, footers, headings, event dates, countdowns, registered under the dmyip-dynamic-dates category. Version 1.8.0 replaced the older set of 13 styled patterns with these leaner ones that inherit your theme’s spacing and colors. Insert one from the Patterns tab or the slash command and edit it like any block composition.

Auto-updating copyright notice for site footers.
© [year] Your Company Name. All rights reserved.
→ © 2026 Your Company Name. All rights reserved.Last Updated
A native Modified Date block with the prefix “Last updated: “. Because it uses the block (not a shortcode), it reflects the post’s own modified timestamp and respects your date format from Settings > General.
Current Month Heading
An H2 that always displays the current month and year. Useful at the top of frequently refreshed posts.
What to know in [month] [year]
→ What to know in July 2026Black Friday and Cyber Monday Dates
A compact list of the current year’s calculated Black Friday and Cyber Monday dates.
30-Day Countdown
A bordered group with a Live Countdown block whose target date is set 30 days from the moment you insert the pattern. Change the date to your real deadline.
Recurring Birthday Countdown
A yearly countdown using the Live Countdown block’s recurring mode (added in 1.8.0). Swap the example date for the real birthday; the counter rolls over automatically every year.
Recurring New Year Countdown
A cache-aware countdown to January 1 that resets itself each year. No annual editing, and the number stays correct even on cached pages because the block updates client-side.
Quick answers to common questions:
How do I insert a dynamic date pattern?
Open the Block Inserter’s Patterns tab and browse the Dynamic Dates category, or type / in the editor and search the pattern name. Patterns insert as regular blocks you can restyle freely.
Can I save my own variations?
Yes, customize an inserted pattern and save it as a synced or unsynced pattern in WordPress core. The plugin’s patterns are starting points, not locked templates.
