About me.
I'm Gaurav Tiwari, a developer, web designer, marketer, and educator. I specialize in WordPress, PHP, and JavaScript frameworks. I build things that work: fast websites, high-converting content, and tools that solve real problems.
As the founder of Gatilab, I help individuals and organizations succeed online. Performance-focused WordPress websites, content strategies that drive traffic, and systems designed to scale. From solo bloggers figuring out their first website to government agencies running campaigns that reached 300 million people.
My approach is simple: technology should be invisible. It should just perform.
Every website I build, article I write, and tool I design is crafted with performance and usability in mind. The best compliment isn't "this looks great." It's "this just works the way I wanted."

How I Work
Writing Style
My writing is structured, data-driven, and accessible. Long-form articles with clear headings, bullet points, and tables of contents. I balance storytelling with actionable insights. Problems first, then solutions.
Every piece is written with SEO in mind but never at the expense of readability. Content must be human-centered. If it doesn't help the reader, it doesn't get published.
Philosophy
"I don't ship pages. I ship systems that think, convert, and scale."
Technology should solve problems, not create them. The best websites are fast, accessible, and focused on what users need. Most "best practices" are cargo cult. I do what works, measure results, and iterate.
Use What I Recommend
Every tool on this blog has been tested on real projects. If I haven't used it, I don't write about it.
Measure Everything
A/B tests, Core Web Vitals, traffic data. Opinions are fine. Opinions backed by numbers are better.
Ship Fast, Fix Faster
Perfect is the enemy of live. Get it working, get it measured, iterate.
No Overselling
I'll tell you what won't work before I tell you what will. That honesty is why clients come back.
The Blog

Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
WordPress development, custom theme and plugin building, site optimization (speed, SEO, Core Web Vitals), content strategy, and technical consulting. Most projects fall into one of two categories: building something new or fixing something that's underperforming. Full details on the services page.
How much do your services cost?
It depends on scope. A performance audit starts at $500. Custom WordPress development typically ranges from $2,000 to $15,000 depending on complexity. I'll give you a fixed quote after understanding your requirements. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
Do you take on small projects?
Yes. Not every project needs a 3-month engagement. Speed optimizations, plugin fixes, migration assistance, and one-time consultations are all common. If it's a quick fix, I'll tell you upfront and price accordingly.
What's your typical turnaround time?
Small fixes and audits: 3 to 5 business days. Medium projects (custom themes, plugin development): 2 to 4 weeks. Large builds: scoped individually. I'll always give you a realistic timeline before starting, not an optimistic one.
Do you recommend tools on your blog that you actually use?
Every tool I recommend has been personally tested. Many of them I've used for years across client projects. Some articles contain affiliate links, which I clearly disclose. I won't recommend something I wouldn't use myself. My toolbox page lists exactly what I run day to day.
Can I hire you for ongoing work?
Yes. Several clients work with me on a monthly retainer for maintenance, content updates, and performance monitoring. Retainers make sense when you need consistent support without the overhead of hiring full-time. Reach out and we can discuss what makes sense for your situation.
Where are you based?
India. I work with clients globally across all time zones. Communication happens over email, WhatsApp, or video calls, whatever works best for you. Most of my clients are in the US, UK, and India.
