Why should I choose engineering? Why not any other career option? How far will I go with this choice? Did you also find yourself stacked with such and other similar questions? Well, this is not a problem with you only rather every other student is thinking over it and looking for the satisfying answers. Here are some images from the events taken with my Nokia device, which I thought were worth sharing. **Happy Holi!**

ENJOY READING! Err… viewing.

## Welcome 2012 – The National Mathematical Year in India

I was very pleased on reading this news that Government of India has decided to celebrate the upcoming year 2012 as the National Mathematical Year. This is 125th birth anniversary of math-wizard Srinivasa Ramanujan (1887-1920). He is one of the greatest mathematicians India ever produced. Well this is ‘not’ the main reason for appointing 2012 as National Mathematical Year as it is only a tribute to him. Main reason is the emptiness of mathematical awareness …

## Solving Ramanujan’s Puzzling Problem

Consider a sequence of functions as follows:- $ f_1 (x) = \sqrt {1+\sqrt {x} } $ $ f_2 (x) = \sqrt{1+ \sqrt {1+2 \sqrt {x} } } $ $ f_3 (x) = \sqrt {1+ \sqrt {1+2 \sqrt {1+3 \sqrt {x} } } } $ ……and so on to $ f_n (x) = \sqrt {1+\sqrt{1+2 \sqrt {1+3 \sqrt {\ldots \sqrt {1+n \sqrt {x} } } } } } $ Evaluate this function as n tends to …

## Scientific Temper in Indian Students

Read these two facts: There are 49 billionaires in India. There are 73 Nobel Laureates in MIT. I have heard people talking about the quality of education in India. Everyone assumes that it is in poor condition. Then what? Who made this “condition”? In 2009, V. Ramakrishnan won a chemistry Nobel & he became a superstar. And A few days ago, I read a discussion on Facebook that Chemistry sucked my friends. Unconditionally, it is …
