The car took a sharp turn onto “Facebook” street. The road is bumpy, and there are too many speed breakers and hurdles to cross. The driver cannot do much, and you are sure that you won’t be able to reach your destination on time. Some nonexistent (really?) magical secrets are your only hope. Dejected, you turn on the radio, here is what the radio journalist has to share:
Do you have that one notorious friend who uploads too many random posts? Are you fed up with their baseless arguments and absurd ideologies? Don’t worry; even I am a victim of these nosy people. But what does one do if they belong to our family or are a part of our close friend circle? ‘Unfriending’ them might seem unethical, and you must be thinking that it is your only option. However, I have an enchanting escape route for you, open your friend’s profile, and click on the “Following” button.
There, select the bottom-most option, which says, “Unfollow.” Your friend will not receive any information about your smooth move, and you won’t have to hurt your eyes by seeing their illogical posts!
If possible you should rather try creating a page and making more fans instead of more friends. To quick start, you can convert your Facebook Profile into a Facebook Page. This way you won’t have to worry about your frenemies as I mentioned above. I’d also suggest buying Facebook likes if you wish have better impact on your community. More Facebook likes mean that you have better authority. Click here to learn further about buying Facebook likes and/or placing an order.
By converting your profile into a page you will be free of worries liking your friend’s every ice cream post or every restaurant pose.
History is History
Are you guilty of your past search history? Well, everyone is. It is nothing to be ashamed of. But what happens when you wish to use Facebook for some official work and don’t want your colleagues to get a peek at that name or page you looked up recently? Don’t be scared, remember? You are your boss.
You can erase the evidence better than a mastermind criminal could! Click on the small arrow adjacent to the question mark symbol in the top right corner of your Facebook page, go to the “Activity Log,” then click on “More” under “COMMENTS” in the left column, and look for “Search history,” and your list of sweet sins will appear. Feel free to click on the round symbol next to the lock and delete your searches!
A Billion Birthdays!
Your memory is not capable of remembering so many birthdays. Facebook keeps you notified, what a great feature, right? But what do you do when you have gazillion friends on Facebook? Your mailbox is full of birthday reminders, and all your relevant emails are hidden under a pile of wishes.
Here is my proposal, mark the birth dates of those closest to you on your calendar and forget all those old friends who don’t even remember that you exist. Click on the arrow on the top right corner and go to “Settings,” then select “Notifications” and “On Facebook,” in the birthday’s option, you can choose where to get these notifications. You may also turn them off completely
No one looks forward to the day they’ll no longer be alive. But death is inevitable. You know your family can survive because your employer provides a pension. But what will happen to your Facebook account? Leaving your Facebook profile unattended will be heartbreaking. You want your future generations to know how cool you were! Do not panic; Facebook has you covered!
You can set up a Legacy contact, someone who can handle your profile after you pass away. They can respond to friend requests and change your profile picture or upload posts. Go to “General account setting” and choose “Manage your account,” you may request for deletion after you pass away. But till then, keep uploading your crazy experiences and adventures! Make sure your grandkids feel proud of you!
Pssst! Who doesn’t scroll through their social media feed during a boring lecture? I am sure you did too. Suddenly, loud music started blaring from your phone and you got caught! What an absolute mishap.
Now you hate your principal’s face and don’t wish to revisit his office, which looks scarier than a haunted house now. Save yourself from the embarrassment and turn your autoplay off. Go to “Settings,” then click on “Videos,” and modify the “Auto-Play Videos” settings from “Default” to “Off.” If you are an Android user, then you can go to “App Settings,” select “Auto-play” and turn it off or the other best option is to save the Facebook video to MP4 to continue to watch in the future.
With the number of cyber crimes on the rise, it has become essential to protect your personal information from mindless hackers.
Facebook can help you identify any such mal activity. Go to “Settings” then click on “Security and login” in the left column and select “Where you’re logged in,” you’ll be able to see a list of devices and locations from which you are logged in. If you see any red flags then click on the three dots, this will direct you to a password reset page.
You can change your password, and the hacker won’t have any further access to your account. Stay safe and beware!
