Why are you going to review the product?

Now it is time to tell people why this product is going to be reviewed. Mostly the products launched recently are under the lens – therefore it is essential to mention the date the product was released and by the company under which intention. Also tell the readers why this product review is good and is going to add anything to their context. That is all. Never mention that the review you are published is anyway sponsored by the company. Because sponsored or not, you are going to be truly honest with your analysis of the product.

PART 2: Description

Specifications and features

This is the most important part of your review article because it is going to have the most impressions. Not many people care about what you think about the product, except the 3 star -4 stars you give to the product. All they care is that if the product suits their needs and if the features are compatible to their needs. Don’t disclose the price tag for the product here – unless the product is completely free. This way reader will have to scroll down to know the price/charges related to the item and therefore they may read your real review.

Thorough analysis and review

This is the main, largest and most important part of your review. Here you may open yourself and express your thoughts about the product being reviewed. Be good and follow 90:10 rule of the review – that is writing a single sentence of downsides after bunch of pages praising the product. But always remember to restrict the downsides within a limit so that the reader doesn’t pass-away the product.

Pricing and availability, and accessibility

After all the inputs for the product, you have come to the point where you can disclose the price tag of the product. Additional details like availability of the product and the consumer target should also be mentioned.

Comparative betterment of the product

Now, as you’re figuratively selling the product to your readers – sometimes it is quite wise to compare the product with similar counterparts. Do that but focus mostly upon the points where this product outmatches the other products.

  1. I agree with you Gaurav that some people write reviews without actually using or buying the product or service. It of course is very clearly visible from the content of their review.

    Listing out the Pros and Cons in a simple bullet formatted content will provide an immediate snapshot to the reader.
